In summary

Hadley Acres Golf Club receives praise for its challenging course layout, particularly the contrasting front and back nine, and the overall condition of the greens. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the enforcement of a dress code, which many feel is inconsistently applied and disproportionately affects women, leading to negative experiences with some staff members. Despite these concerns, some visitors appreciate the traditional atmosphere and amenities such as the clubhouse and electric golf carts.

Very rude old lady at the front desk. She spoke only to my boyfriend and told him “well I can’t let her play in that” in reference to an athletic tank top I was wearing on an 80 degree day. Ladies, do not come here. Unreasonable and rude dress code for women in the year of 2026, yet it seems the men can wear whatever they please.

Notice how every review higher than one star seems to be from a man—that’s probably because they don’t get chased down by someone in cutoff jorts, a dirty white shirt, and suspenders. I was wearing a simple athletic dress from Old Navy and was told I needed to be “covered” by the lady in the club house. I told her all I had was an oversized lions sweatshirt and she said that would look better than what I was wearing…. To make matters worse, even after I put on a sweatshirt (on an 85-degree day), this same man ran after us and yelled at my sister, clearly not paying attention. On top of that,…

I had a membership here last year and enjoyed it very much. This is a conservative area and I for one appreciate the dress code enforcement. Workers were always polite and respectful.

Absolutely Ridiculous and Hypocritical Dress Code Enforcement. I’ve never been more insulted or embarrassed at a golf course in my life. On a 90-degree day, I wore a basic tank top—nothing inappropriate or revealing—and was told I had to change. The staff made it clear that a Harley Davidson T-shirt was more “acceptable,” which is laughable considering the state of this course. Meanwhile, I saw another woman wearing sweatpants, a different one wearing a tanktop, and multiple men in ratty shoes and basketball shorts. So apparently, the dress code only applies when they feel like enforcing it…

Told my girlfriend she wasn’t allowed on the course because of not having sleeves. Then had to have the trainee offer the shirts in the back because she wouldn’t. Then we called because my girlfriend was upset and she tells us she needs reality check. Would not recommend lady was super rude and not a family friendly course!

Depends on the day you go. I have had a good experience playing here and also a poor experience. Depends on who is working and what kinda of mood they are in. That includes the guys mowing the grass :-/

Been playing this course since i was a kid. This is where i learned to golf. The course has always been a challenge. The front nine has nice open holes with well placed trees and water hazards that is balanced with a tight back nine where drive placement is key. The course and especially the greens these last few years have been in incredible shape. Highly recommend!

This WAS my favorite course until today. The lady with brown curly hair that works in the clubhouse is horribly rude. So I will throw myself under the bus. I wore a tennis dress today because it was hot. I was asked by her to leave or put a shirt/sweater on. I gladly complied as I should have known better and wore a sweater over my dress for 9 holes in 78 degree weather. I never took my sweater off. When we were done playing 9 holes I went to the portapotty by the parking lot and took my sweater off because I was done golfing. Purple shirt brown haired lady came up and verbally attacked me. Sh…

I would give a 1 star but the course is nice. I was a member here for 2 years with a lot of friends. Tammy and the guy that mows and works there are super nice but kathy ruins it for everyone. We stopped playing there 2 years ago because of her rudeness to members and new golfers we bring there. But after 2 years I decided to go there with my family for father's day. Golfing with my wife and 11 year old son and my 17 yr old daughter as a rider. In the office she said " your really going to golf with kids?" I said my son outdrives me from the front tees and I shoot in the 70's. She then told me…

As I would like to post that I have not been here but I would like to press not to go here. They treated my close friend super poorly as she is one of the most genuine people I know. Learn respect as u are a large business owner or get out. Those were appropriate, kind words, if you need help runnign a business reach out as my 8 year old nephew could run it 100% better and more kind.

Upon arriving with my daughter who was not golfing was meet by some guy who stopped us and targeted my daughter for not having sleeves. It was a respectable tennis outfit. The temp was over 90°. He embarrassed her so bad in front of people that she began to cry. This gentleman who had just finished golfing was wearing a stained up non-collard white t-shirt and I asked is that OK? He stated that he has sleeves. Again she was not golfing she just wanted to spend some time with me while I golfed. The woman inside didn’t seem to care one bit on how we were treated. What is it Is it proper attire o…

I wore a golf dress there and they told me I was not allowed to wear a golf dress. The dress said "golf" on it. They said it was a tank top. If you watch the women's LPGA they wear them all the time. This place needs to get with the times. The man that worked there behind the counter had on a dirty looking tee shirt and jean shorts lol. I will not be back and will take my golf dress to much nicer courses.
