What People Say

In summary

Hartlen Point Forces Golf Club is praised for its stunning ocean views, well-maintained course, and challenging layout that benefits from a unique mix of wooded and links-style holes. The staff and amenities generally receive positive feedback, with special mention of the practice facilities and reasonable pricing. However, some visitors express concerns about the impact of nearby developments on local wildlife and note occasional issues with customer service at the pro shop. The course's windy conditions can add to its difficulty, but are also seen as part of its charm.

Nice course. Great ocean views. Bring your binocs for the bird sightings too. Not looking forward to the warship testing facility they're building next door though - will be terrible for the plants and animals around there, especially the birds. Hartlen Point is the #1 bird location in NS.

Love this course. My first time visiting. Had to rent the club (they were not good, but golfing is better than not golfing). Great scenery, very windy, and you get weather change like crazy. Ball roll nicely on the green even though its still early in the season. Some greens are super hard. Glad the course plays like links style. Just overall great experience and won't break your bank. Thanks for the round guys.

Quite a hard course as it is often extremely windy especially on the back 9, but sitting right by the ocean make such a great view to enjoy. Very busy spot in town within the golfing community. Military discount offered but a bigger discount if you are under the age of 30 for a membership, love to see the encouragement for youngsters. 4 stars because it is not very available a lot of times.

This course is a jewel in Eastern Passage NS. It's situated on some of the most beautiful landscape overlooking the ocean. As a young boy i spent many a weekend watching my Dad build most of the holes. Today its well run, beautifully maintained and reasonable to play. Check it out...medium difficulty...maximum breathtaking views.

One of the best courses in HRM. It's a unique track with a great lay out, the course plays long and is challenging. Wind can drastically change the way the course plays from day to day. I've seen the the Par 3, 15th hole play anywhere from a Pitching Wedge to a 5 Wood. The staff are great the amenities are good. The course has two practice greens and a driving range. There are some great views on this course and anyone visiting the City that enjoys golf should consider this a must play. Located at the mouth of the harbour you get the salt air and wonderful experience.

Course was in great shape, twilight fee was $50 so I definitely got my money's worth, and the pro shop let me use a pull cart free of charge. Fun course, will be back

A fantastic course 30 minutes from Halifax that starts in the woods for the front nine and finishes with links-style holes looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. Great staff and amenities at the club house. Being by the ocean the course can get foggy and windy but the sweet is never as sweet without the sour.
