In summary

Heddles Hideaway Country Club is recognized for its challenging layout with significant elevation changes, making it a unique and engaging course for golfers. Many visitors appreciate the ongoing improvements under new management, noting that the course is showing promise despite some areas still under construction. However, there are recurring concerns about the condition of the cart paths, availability of carts, and occasional slow pace of play, alongside mentions of limited amenities such as food and water.

Layout was OK, just couldn't see the green on several holes from the fairways. Hated the golf carts were controlled by satellite. On the 1st hole, my wife hit her ball onto the rough on the right side of the fairway. My cart cutoff while still in the fairway telling me to retreat. Apparently, I was too close to the creek by being 20 yards away! My wife & I enjoy a round of golf every once in a while. We let people play through, so we can enjoy our day. The cart kept saying we were behind schedule. There wasn't many people on the course, why the rush? I lost 3 balls in the fairway because of al…

It is under construction with 2 temp greens. Two other holes had the fairway tore up. It’s obvious they are trying to repair it. I thought the other holes played just fine. Greens were plush and rolled well enough. It’s a tight course with lots of elevation changes. Plenty of blind shots. I don’t care about cart paths or any conditions other than fairways and greens. I won’t comment on those areas as I didn’t care to look or judge. Give it 4 stars because they are trying and it shows promise. Other than the temp greens I never had a lie issue or putt that did anything crazy because of conditio…

It was well worth what we paid. Very obvious that somebody is working their tail off to make this place better and they are. Sure it has a ways to go but they're charging accordingly to that. It's still better than what they are charging. I couldnt ask for anything more than that. The layout has tons of potential and I believe will reward them every time they try to improve it.

Course is in OK shape, not great. The fairways were fine and playable, and the greens were in decent shape. For the most part, 13/18 of them were in good shape. About 5 of them are pretty chewed up. The layout is very quirky and hilly. I would say, for the most part, it was a good course for the area and a good value. You can tell that the owners are trying to elevate the place. The club house was older but in really good shape. Pace of play was SLOW Scores out of 10 Club house 7.2 Carts 6.5 Tee boxes 5.9 Fairways 5.8 Greens 5.7 Course Layout 5.4 Pace of play 4.3 Overall: 5.82 / 10

Definitely making progress in becoming a great course. Nothing like the old Heddies Hideaway - that was terrible. This is an up and coming course and I enjoy the locality and the wide open feel. Not a jammed course where you get pushed through your game.

I booked it tee time for 1:22PM and arrived early, paid for my cart and game and when I went outside they were out of carts. Had to go back in and wait in line for 15 minutes missing my tee time just to be told it was cart guys issue not there’s. After this, my self and several other had to get a refund. I was not the only person who had this same issue. Also, they have gone up on the price from $24 to $35 for 9 holes and the course and greens are not in good shape at all. Used to love this course even though it is not nice it was cheap. Now, it’s not worth your time or your money.

I'd give it 3.5 out of 5. Before coming here I heard some really bad things and people telling me not to waste my time. Well, I wanted to see for my self. And it was not that bad. I thought the greens were good. Except for hole 9 and I think the other hole was 13. 9 was really bad. Tee boxes and fairways were decent. Besides those 2 or 3 bad greens I really have no other complaints..The girl at the club house who checked me in was really nice. Paid $42 for a round on Saturday. I would come back but not for $42

Never had a good experience here. Customer service is not great and we’ve always had a problem with the carts. Booked at tee time and there were no carts available for us or the 10-15 people in front of us. Many people left very upset and saying they would never come back- we will not either. Last time we came we had to ride the golf carts in reverse because they locked up and would not drive straight. Wouldn’t recommend this place!!

Staff was excellent even though he's an Ichigan fan :)... let us go out first as we had a time limit. Only negative was on 14 the cart restriction wouldn't let us proceed in the fairway or down the cart path so we had to go down the fairway in reverse.

Are you KIDDING me!!!! It’s been close to 100* and they don’t even sell water most days!?!? Set up for food…..but NO FOOD!!! How about a pot of coffee ??? And that’s just walking in the door, let’s not discuss the goat trail of a golf course this is. Management doesn’t know HOW to manage this business. Get your supplies in, get your course cleaned up.. Why tear up half the course to fix some holes. Fix them one at a time. They’re about to receive all the overflow from a closing golf course nearby……there’s gonna be some disappointed golfers. Attendants and other staff members look like they do…
