In summary

Hickory Ridge Golf Club is appreciated for its interesting layout and well-maintained greens, with some visitors highlighting positive experiences with friendly staff members. However, there are frequent concerns about management practices, including inconsistent enforcement of tee times and pace of play, as well as issues with customer service, particularly involving the owner. Racist business. We were told we couldn’t play at 4:30pm which was fine but a white guy walks in and buys a game and gets the keys to the golf cart. Multiple incidents have happened since coming here regularly for the past two months.

Visitor from Minneapolis. The three 9s layout is cool. Definitely a few fun, interesting, and unique holes. But the real treat at Hickory Hill is Greg, who single-handedly made Sunday afternoon a 5-star experience. Somebody make him President of Hospitality.

Played today (8-31-2025) with my sons while we visited from Florida. There was a ton of people there first thing when they opened. On the first hole the marshal came to us an asked us to pick up the pace. We were already in the fairway and there was another group on the green, another group on the tee box on 2 waiting for the group in front of them and so on. Far too many people on the course at a time. The fairways on the front 9 were tall enough to conceal your ball. So much so that if you hit it center fairway it's likely you still wouldn't find your ball. On the good side, the greens were…

I asked my boyfriend why hasn’t he went golfing lately and he said he refuse to give his money to the grumpy owner at this golf course! Now he has to drive a hour to a more pleasant golf course. Which is fine , but as a business- my advice to this place is do better and have some respect for your customers!

I’ve been visiting the course for years, but they've recently raised prices. I can understand that, but the lack of logical and competent pace management on busy days, rude owner (who doesn’t like women driving carts), fussy staff (except for Mr. Greg, he’s incredible), rock hard fairways, and less than stellar course conditions don't warrant $50 on weekends in my opinion. This was my go-to course after Cotton Fields got torn down, but I won’t be coming back. If you’re looking a decent course, try Morgan Dairy Farms in Griffin- nice staff, $25 during the week and $30 on the weekends.

only two of the three nine hole courses were open, the other is under repair. No tee times accepted. Carts must be in at 7:30. Very friendly family owned course. The course is very well taken care of.

These guys were complete jerks for no reason!! a couple months ago this course did not do tee times and so one day I walked in and they told me I could not play because all the sudden they were doing tee times again and so i called them when they opened this morning and a guy answered and laughed saying "we have tee times open all day" and so I booked a time for 11am. when I got there the person at the desk told me they do not do tee times during the week and I said okay I would like to play 18 holes. He proceeded to laugh at me saying there is a tournament every Tuesday mind you I am by mysel…

Drove 1.5 hours to play with some friends that live down here. Course conditions were pretty good, and met expectations for a reasonable price. Greens in consistent shape, fuzzy and firm, but roll true. But will likely NOT be coming back to play. We had a tee time for 12:45, a foursome, and mentioned we had a kid (under 10) riding along. Yes he was going to hit some shots. Clubhouse made no mention this would be an issue. We all checked in and paid. Sunday, small country course, often a group of 5 like that isn’t a problem. But if it was, that would’ve been fine too. So we get out to the tee…

Will not be going back until they start taking tee times. Showed up at 8am when they open only to find the line 25 people deep and the range already packed. Makes for a terrible playing experience. Quality of your day is ruined when you sit on each tee box for 10+ minutes. 5+ hour rounds and management don’t seem to care. Shame because it’s actually a fun course but even with 27 holes waiting is still an issue.

This is a golf course my husband and I really enjoyed coming to during the week and on the weekends. It’s close to our house. I don’t play but I love to go with him and watch him and plus it’s good bonding. They recently started charging $40 for a rider which is ridiculous. I am 9 months pregnant and just wanted to be able to do something with him he enjoys. But paying $40 to not even play and sit on the cart is ridiculous. It almost encourages spouses to not be able to go unless you actually play. No one is paying $40 to sit outside. Get real.
