In summary

Hickory VFW Golf Course is appreciated for its reasonable pricing and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned players. Many enjoy the course's layout and the overall condition of the greens, though some mention that the fairways and rough could benefit from more maintenance, particularly after rain. While the course is generally well-regarded, there are occasional concerns about wet conditions, inconsistent greens, and the condition of the carts.

Very nice challenging golf course. And not very expensive to golf. Love it here.

The first time I played this course. I enjoyed the layout and the conditions. The greens were slow,in excellent shape, small and sloped. It deserves a better overall rating than I saw on line. I will definitely be back.

Awful course. The layout is zany. A multitude of useless 90 degree dogleg holes. Could be the worst designed course I have every played. Has a mini golf vibe. Greens are in very poor condition. So many better options to consider.

Very good course for the price. Beginners will enjoy it. The staff have always been nice and professional. The only draw back is the cart path... But to just go out and have fun, it is very worthwhile course!

Nice course. Have been golfing there for years. Fairways and greens are normally in good shape. Reasonable prices, great staff.

Greens were good but fairways and rough could use a little more work. I'm sure it is hard to keep up with mowing with all the rain we are having.

1 nice lady that works there the rest are rude. They give you attitude about going out past 5 . with the price now it's worth spending the extra $3 to play somewhere with actual maintained course.

Not my favorite course, always too wet and greens that are inconsistent, carts are in terrible condition and rough that seems never to be cut.

Course could be a little better kept and staff can rarely be rude, but with that being said I do love playing here.
