This is the worst course ever. The bartenders are wonderful though. The 2 men who run the Thursday scramble do everything they can to control who wins and will control what your team shoots. It’s an absolute scam and they should be held accountable. The course isn’t worth $5 to play and in terrible shape. You’re better off playing at Pine Springs or Jacksonville. Do Better ,“Management”!

Always a fun place to play and the price is reasonable. I don’t know anything about the negative comments personally. I’m just a dude who likes to play golf and this place has never disappointed me. Are the greens perfect? No but they are just fine to me. Is the course a chill place to play? Yes. This course has been around for a long time and frankly, I hope it doesn’t change any time soon. The lady behind the counter is always kind and helpful and the only time I’ve had trouble getting in is during a tournament but that’s completely understandable.

Hilltop Country Club: where good golf is strictly prohibited. My husband and his buddies were winning the Thursday scramble occasionally (not even every week), and somehow that was enough to get them banned. Not warned, not asked to tone it down—just flat-out removed from the rotation like they were a problem. I guess being too good at golf is frowned upon here? Sorry for disrupting the participation trophy parade. They don’t even show up every week, but when they do? They play well. That’s the whole point of a scramble… or so we thought. Hilltop’s new motto seems to be: “Everyone’s welcome—…

This is a small 9-hole course in Troup TX. It is a beautifully kept course. Very friendly folks. Reasonable prices. I enjoy every time I play here (I'm a beginner)!

Spend your money elsewhere. The girls serving drinks are excellent, every other form of “management” is horrendous. Course is not worth $5. Go to Jacksonville.

For what it is...a golf course connected to a high school...(by proximity) it's pretty good. I need to find somewhere to test a new driver, and while they do have a smaller range it served it's purpose. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, small bag of balls was 5, large which I'm guess was around 25-30...I'll count next time they just stuff the bag....was only 10. I do plan on going back to test more of my clubs

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. This place is good for what it is. It’s a nice little 9 hole course that’s cheap and fun. Give it a shot.

Used to really like this course, but the greens have gotten pretty terrible on some holes, and looks like nobody plans to fix anything soon. Fairways aren't mowed. Can't play singles or double till afternoon anymore. The lady at the counter acts like she don't got time for nobody. For being a public course behind a school they sure do act like PGA events happen there. For anybody starting off golf. Just go somewhere else.

This course is never open to the public. It’s either closed for maintenance, closed for seniors, closed for scrambles, or closed for tournaments. I live a mile from it and I have to drive 30 minutes to play golf because they want to cater to 40 freaking people. I will never even try to play here again it’s just ridiculous.
