In summary

Hocking Hills Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful and challenging course layout, featuring significant elevation changes and well-maintained greens, as well as its scenic setting, particularly in the fall. The clubhouse receives positive remarks for its friendly staff and enjoyable dining experience, although some find the food to be average. However, there are criticisms regarding the condition of certain areas of the course, such as cart paths and fairways, and some visitors feel the course is overpriced given these issues. Additionally, there are occasional complaints about slow play and navigation difficulties on the course.

The course itself was nice which it is a little much for 9 holes. I tipped decently before even getting checked in, hoping for good service. (My bachelor party weekend btw) During our first hole we were the only ones there and I had 2 tee times booked mind you. (Which you pay to reserve) We have a lot of new golfers, we are just playing for fun. The whole first hole and into the start of the 2nd hole on the back 9 we were consistently being rushed by staff. I don’t have a problem with trying to go quickly, but we are even playing like a scramble/best ball. We are already playing rather quickly…

Nice little bar/restaurant. We weren't super impressed by the food. It was decent, but doesn't knock your socks off. The pasta got was kind of bland and the sauce was watery. The breadstick was also bland. We took the pasta home and seasoned it up and it was excellent. It just needed more seasoning in my opinion. The brownies were delicious though! Really beautiful spot with outdoor seating as well.

I'm newer to golf, but this has been one of my favorite so far. Such a beautiful and challenging course. I honestly wished I'd gotten more pictures. The sandwich we had was delicious with friendly wrlcoming service. I will say they seem to be pretty strict on the no outside beverage thing, the course could use a little better upkeep, and the price is a little steep, but we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

A really fun, challenging course in the Hocking Hills/Logan area. The layout is great with a lot of challenging tee-shots, dog legs, and elevation. The greens are small but in great shape! I'm not going to hold the conditions of the rest of the course against them considering how hot & dry this summer has been. I think most courses are struggling with overall conditions this time of year and they're no different. If you're in the area it's worth a round. Also, the food in the clubhouse was terrific. Full bar with a few drafts and good whiskey selection.

Do not recommend! Very slow play. Several groups of 8 playing together. It was a free for all with people hitting into us. The holes were not well marked and the course was difficult to navigate. Very difficult holes and pin placement. Way overpriced for the quality of the course and poor course management.

Sad. Sept 2021 I’m so glad we read the reviews before we went. We changed our reservation to a 9 hole tee time with an option to do the back 9. A very up and down, winding course. Greens are small(see pic). Fairways are a bit narrow from so many crowding mature trees, and stumps. The layout needed a map and a briefing from an employee before teeing off. We turned the wrong direction to the next tee twice. Tees were in bad shape, muddy. Golf carts sputtering and back firing with low power. Dog legs thru the narrow tree branches and pumping wells. Up and down hills of poor, patchy, weedy fairway…

Very nice place with good ambience. The best burger, very best I ever had. I used to go on Tuesdays and they had a special offer. The service and staff were gentle and carefully. I enjoyed every time I went. I specially recommend the pretzel bun burger with blue cheese with chips. It is amazing. I miss it a lot. Someday I will return, I hope!

Great food, great prices, and great service. The bang bang shrimp was excellent. We only got half salads because they are huge. I got salmon on my salad. It was very good. The chicken was also very good. Our server was friendly and kept checking on us. The restaurant is dog friendly with a covered patio area...and the prices are fantastic!

Course was very challenging but also very fun. The views were wonderful and the course was in great shape. The clubhouse is also really nice and we had a draft after we finished our round. If you enjoy challenging golf or just casual golf in the great outdoors I would definitely recommend this as a good spot to check out.

Played the back nine, decently challenging but had fun. Greens and boxes were in good shape. Only complaint, and it’s minor, with it being as hilly as it is, some cart paths could use some maintenance
