In summary

Hyde Mountain on Mara Lake Golf Course is praised for its stunning views, challenging layout, and scenic patio, making it a popular choice for golfers seeking a visually appealing experience. However, some visitors have raised concerns about the condition of the golf carts and paths, safety issues due to the course's topography, and inconsistent service from staff. While the course offers a unique and enjoyable round of golf, potential improvements in maintenance and customer service could enhance the overall experience.

Great location and decent enough course, but website shows your cost for round and then when you get to the course, you are charged for a mandatory cart.. which are expensive carts for what you get. I think almost $50 for the 2 players? Why not just have an all inclusive price for the round of golf, if carts are mandatory??? Old carts, faced to sign a waver before heading out. The brakes on the carts were a disgrace, and for this particular course.. believe me.. you need to have good brakes.. just something to consider, if you value your life…. 😬 Beautiful patio.. best in the area.

Honestly we got a preferred rate today.. and it was almost reasonable. But I would not pay full pop green fees here. The views are spectacular, but much work needs to be done here. This golf course was bought out recently by a corporation, and changed hands from family owned. You can definitely tell the difference. I will make some accommodation for the fact that getting people to work at a course doing labour is hard, but, 1 The sand in the bunkers is terrible and needs replaced. 2 The cart paths are horrible, and far too steep, gravel needs to be cleaned off of them, and more sections need…

What a beautiful course! Take a camera and your yardage laser. Enjoy a drink and food on probably the most scenic decks in the country. Recommend highly!!

This is a.course that should never have been built, and is in severe decline. It's built for scenic views but little else. No driving range and a pathetic practice green - would have expected more at this price. The bunkers are the worst I've seen in years - they aren't bunkers, they are bumpy patches of concrete. The golf carts, long suffering due to the insane topography of this course, are overpriced with worn out brakes. The cart paths date back to Ancient Rome, and frankly, are dangerous. Lots of blind tee shots, if you enjoy not being able to find your perfectly decent drive. And a snott…

It’s such a beautiful course with gorgeous view from top of the hill and so much fun to play. We will definitely come back to play .

Best course I have ever been to! Absolutely gorgeous views, and awesome holes with large drops and rises. Everything is meticulously maintained, and beautiful cart paths around this scenic golf course. We had apps afterwards at the restaurant and the food was spectacular as well. Cant say enough great things about this course.

Always love my trips to this course. Another 'must play' course if you're in the Okanagan. Who doesn't want to play from the elevated tee at the hole called Geronimo!

Beautiful course with some challeging holes. Really enjoy playing here. Do wish there was a better system for bevies and food though. You don't pass the clubhouse til the 15th hole, and the Snack Shop wasn't open until 2pm, at which point we had just missed it finishing 13. And, there was no cart girl out. Thank goodness it was not super hot outside.

I had not really heard of Hyde Mountain Golf prior to coming here and I'm really not sure why! This was such a great course. Fantastic Fairways. Greens were true. Pace of play moved at the proper pace. Loved it so much came back to golf it on our way back. Great course and the price point was an added bonus

The course itself was excellent and made for an enjoyable round of golf. However, the pro shop staff appeared overwhelmed by the volume of golfers that day, and unfortunately, they ran out of golf carts. It may have been their first particularly busy day of the season, but I trust they gained some valuable experience to better manage high-demand days in the future.

Very challenging course with some unique holes. Course is very hilly and makes you second guess your club selection. Course was in great shape for mid August and was forgiving as well. Many scenic holes looking at the lake and mountain. Great patio over looking Mara Lake. Good luck on #4!!

Updated, Aug 12/24... This golf course sits along some of the very worst businesses in the Okanagan! And there are not many bad ones. See below on WHY and what happened and to know that their pro shop manager is the most uncaring and selfish golf course manager ever! He did not apologize at all and he never responded off here as you see, (unless he now adds after seeing this). Below was the ORIGINAL yet one time updated REVIEW from Jan 16/24... Pic is current on Jan 16/24. This scab is almost healed after all this time and way less pinching nerve pain now finally. Was brutal at times. Oct 10…
