In summary

Idle Creek Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained layout, offering a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of varying skill levels. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, and the course's setting within a residential community adds to its appeal. However, some visitors have noted concerns about the proximity of houses to the fairways, occasional sogginess of the course, and mixed reviews regarding the quality and pricing of food services.

I framed houses here since 2011. Every house that we've ever built a spectacular and beautiful. The golf course itself is very beautiful and big and popular. I'd say it's the best around when it comes to golf courses.

This was our first outing at Idle Creek. The course was very soggy! On top of that, while we were in one of the fairways, the sprinkler system came on and soaked us. I was laughing so hard, had to get a photo, couldn’t play serious after. That was a new experience. I also did not like how close some of the houses were. Caused me to play extra cautiously. Nevertheless, it’s an ok course for Terre Haute.

Golf course is a fun, unique layout. The real issue is the price. The Monday deal at $40 with lunch is fair. Well worth it. But $60 on weekends is a stretch, especially with the shape of some of the fairways on the front 9. Should be $40. The "Garage" is a phenomenal space, but the food is embarrassing. Frozen, pre packaged chicken sandwich? Frozen, premade pizza dough? Make your menu smaller and execute those items correctly, instead of having a large menu and executing those items extremely mediocre. The service is horrendous as well. But that's the fault of whoever is managing the front of…

I have played Idle Creek on two occasions. I must say I look forward to playing it more often. It is one of the nicest golf courses I have played in the country. The service in club house has been welcoming. The restaurant/bar accommodations and service has been friendly and the food was tasty and satisfying. The course is designed through a beautiful resident community. It gives you plenty of height changes. Water is well placed and bunkers play test your accuracy. If you have an opportunity to play this course do so.

Come here 3-4 nights a week whenever I’m in town for work. The staff in the pro shop are great. Hole 1’s green will frustrate you to all get out with the angle, but it’s a fun/well taken care of course. Always enjoy coming here and playing. The pro shop also has tons of gear to choose from and anything you could need for a round

Awesome course. Very beautiful greens and fairways. The 9th hole was kinda soggy and there were puddles everywhere. But other than that it was great. Beautifully maintained and kept. 10/10 would come back.

Beautiful course! I love playing here. The staff are great and most importantly they are young golfers in the making friendly, which means a lot to me and the boys. We love making memories and improving our game at Idle Creek.

Had our company Christmas party there. They were very accommodating, the food was great and we even had some left over! The banquet room is huge and was set up nicely. Will definitely consider going back.

This golf course is not for cry babies. If you don't have any skills at the game then you should play a much milder course. This course requires skills to play it well. One should know how to work the ball left to right and right to left. One should know how to hit a high shot and a low shot. I love this course! I play it from the back tee box. If you can score 73 or lower on a difficult course then this course is for you. Don't be a poor golfer and shoot a 95 and say this course is laid out poorly. It is laid out for people that know how the game is meant to be played. Skill is the key on thi…

Always enjoyed playing this golf course. It's not easy, but it was always fun. Played a few high school golf matches here, and remember hitting some shots on the back 9 that I will never forget. The hole that stands out is a short par 3 on the back 9... Good times. Would love to get back and play here again someday.
