In summary

Julington Creek Golf Course receives praise for its engaging layout and friendly staff, with some visitors appreciating the course's condition and the scenic setting. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding inconsistent maintenance, dated facilities, and management issues, such as handling of cancellations and lost items. While some guests enjoyed their experience, others found the course conditions and management practices lacking for the price.

The best public course around. The mats at the driving range were just replaced so their facility is flawless. Greens were running a solid 8-9 on stimp. Laura the bartender is AWESOME!!!!!!! Get the chicken salad wrap that she personally makes from scratch. I'll be back next week. The people who maintain this course also deserve props. Well done Julington Creek Golf Club!!!!!!

Julington Creek Golf Course is a terrific place to play. It is an enjoyable layout that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The course flows nicely through a beautiful setting of mature trees, and water features. There’s a nice variety of par 3s, 4s, and 5s, and the routing keeps things interesting without feeling repetitive. The course conditions were excellent during my visit. Fairways were lush and smooth, tee boxes were solid, and the greens rolled true. The staff were welcoming and professional. Friendly service like that really adds to the overall experience and makes you feel appr…

Excellent gold course. Great value. It’s never too crowded so you can plan on a 3.5 - 4 hour round. I have met some great friends here. 8 is an challenging par 5!

I seriously would give this course -5 stars if I possibly could the whole set up from the clubhouse to the crappy parking lot to the house houses on the front nine and the backyard you have to look at it. It's just a disgrace, but to be honest with you it's right on par for most of the golf courses in St. John's County Florida. They don't take care of the greens. They're all burn up. The tea boxes are terrible. The fairways are terrible. The course management is just pathetic. It was only $40 for my round, but I felt ripped off

Originally, I had posted a poor review out of frustration with the pre-pay policy and the fact that they only gave me a raincheck when I tried to call and cancel a player slot the afternoon prior to my tee time. After posting a review, I received an email from Andrew, the course GM, and he apologized for the situation and refunded the third slot back to my credit card. I appreciate the attention to detail and the strong customer service.

Save your money, go elsewhere. Greens are rock hard with little to no grass, approach shots don't hold. Tee boxes are a mess, fairways are hit or miss, greens are a mess. The course as a whole is just really poorly well kept. Carts are gas powered and slow. Course, clubs house, facilities are all dated and tired. Staff is polite and friendly.

I’ve had multiple disappointing experiences at Julington Creek Golf Club involving personal items left behind in carts. Each time, the items were never returned, and the staff showed little interest in helping recover them. This lack of accountability is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the club’s customer service. Management should implement a clear lost-and-found process and train staff to handle these situations responsibly, and not steal customers items. Guests deserve to feel that their belongings are safe and that concerns will be taken seriously.

Cart died on 12, we paid 100$ to play and were told we could come back the next day and play the back nine free of charge. But no, came in and it was a mess to try to play the holes we had already paid for.

The course was overall decent and fairly well maintained. My friend was visiting from out of town and we played a round Saturday and then after playing, booked an additional round for Sunday but included an extra spot for another person to join. That extra person confirmed that they could not play on Sunday and we called and left two voicemails on Saturday to cancel that extra spot. Prior to the Sunday tee time, we talked with the pro shop and explained the situation but would not give a refund. This was an extremely poor way to handle the situation and honestly is a big turn off to return to…

The course clubhouse is definitely dated and can use renovations inside and out along with the golf course, specifically the cart paths that have lots of crumbling sidewalks. The course itself was in decent condition, a bit challenging and with a little TLC it could be much better.

Came down from North Carolina. Played with family. Great experience. Staff was friendly. Course was in great shape, even after a week and half of rain. Would definitely play here again.

Couldn't find a tee time anywhere on a Holiday Monday. Got lucky with this one.....but then grew concerned from all of the negative comments. I figured any tee time was better than not being able to play with my Dad from out of town. So we nervously showed up for our 8.00am tee time. We only played 9 holes due to time constraints on our end......but Wow!!!! We were prepared for the worse. I would say 9/10 on the grounds and 10/10 on friendly staff. Also you can see them steadily working on course so that is a plus. We played Monday 10/13/25 and had just had 8/10 total days of rain. The couse w…
