In summary

NAS Jacksonville Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained course, diverse layout with 27 holes, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both military personnel and the public. The course is noted for its reasonable pricing and the quality of its clubhouse amenities, including a well-regarded restaurant. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens, occasional disorganization with tee times, and slow pace of play, particularly during peak times.

This golf course was an abomination. Not family friendly at all. We called and asked if we could take our kids out to play 9 holes and asked for a tee time, and the man in the pro shop insisted that we didn’t need a tee time for 9 holes. When we showed up, he promptly scoffed and said that no children under age 8 are allowed to play. WHAT!? We have 3 kids under 8 and they play competitively in US Kids golf tournaments. The pro shop man was so rude. This isn’t Augusta😂 Not sure who made this policy but it needs to be revised. Military kids need to be able to play on base. Ridiculous! To add in…

Amazing course! I was in town for a few days and played multiple rounds. The tracks was excellent and the white course was my favorite. Overall the course was in great shape and the pro shop was nice. The staff also treated me to the best of their abilities. Would recommend it anyone in the Jacksonville area.

This is a really good track, 27 holes, challenging. Unfortunately the greens are in pretty bad shape right now. I played here same time last year and they were outstanding. I'm sure they'll do whatever is necessary to recover them.

This course is well maintained; the greens and fairways are in great shape on all 27 holes. The customer service in the pro shop is exceptional as well. Also, the driving range as well as practice areas are in excellent shape.

Greens punched a few weeks ago and furry, and a few got disease spots on them (blue). All the bunkers are garbage, full of weeds and no sand. Good pro shop with good prices. With three 9s, you would think thru could do some fairway/bunker maintenance while aerating the greens.

Food is decent but the service struggles to keep up. Group reservations are often neglected and service can be very slow sometimes. Specials can be great including St. Patrick's day corned beef plate.

It's a shame I feel compelled to do this because I used to play here regularly years ago but I had one of the worst golf experiences I've had in my life here. From the minute I showed up for my tee time this morning to the starter at 7:24 for a 7:30 Tee time. I was ready to go with my ten year old son. The starter proceeded to tell me rudely that there was a 15 minute prior rule and he gave away my tee time. He then proceeded to tell me he didn't know if he could get me in. I'm retired Marine Corps and I don't show up 15 minutes prior to anywhere anymore. Particularly for Golf. More importantl…

It’s not worth playing here. The price is cheap but they will close the course for “lightning” when there’s none even close. I made it through 4 holes and they only gave me a rain check for 9 free holes. Mind you there was zero rain, zero thunder, and zero visible lightning. They gave a 30 minute estimate to reopen the course and then continued to push that time for hours 30 minutes at a time with partly cloudy skies over the course the entire time.

A fantastic place to go play 18 or 27 holes as they have 27 holes. Joe, Steve, and Angelo are always really easy to deal with. Their customer service is second to none. The course is in very good shape and at a price point that is easy on the wallet. Joe, you and your staff from the pro shop, with great prices, I might add, to the maintenance guys and gals. Great job.

Nice golf course, open to the public, not just military. $20 for 18 holes with a cart. Gator sunning himself on hole #7.

The course is descent. They have 3 different 9 hole courses. Was told they were not crowded. When we checked in the guy seem to have sent a group of 3, a group of 5, another group of 3, & us to tee off on the same hole. We were early, other groups were late. So 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Lots of waiting. So not a good experience. It was a weekday at 1pm.

Excellent golf course for the price and probably the nicest military course I have played. Greens were in excellent shape and fairways in good shape (despite heavy rains for the last 2 weeks). My only complaint was we had to book by phone (apparently no on-line booking?) and then the starter booth told us we weren't on the schedule. Another guy in front of us was told the same thing. They did get us playing at the scheduled time but they were pretty unorganized (none of the names they had written down matched who was actually there for their tee time).
