In summary

Hyde Park Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful layout, wide fairways, and ongoing improvements, making it a suitable choice for golfers of varying skill levels. The staff is generally friendly, and the addition of amenities like a food truck and drink cart enhances the experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, inconsistent tee box conditions, and management issues, which can detract from the overall experience.

Way outdid my expectations for my first time playing here. Fairways were pure, greens were firm and rolled great. Very getable course from the back tee’s but still some challenging shots, irons are the smart play off many of the par 4’s. Food truck on #5 was clutch. Vibes were good, will definitely be back here again.

Nice course . Nice layout. Fairways are very generous. A new club house is being built. Some of the tee boxes could use a litte work but overall good course to check out. Greens are challenging

With the price increase recently the course is no longer a good value. There is still no clubhouse, the construction progress on that has barely changed in the 5 years I've been golfing there. I will say that the greens have improved a little, but they play as fast as concrete. Many of the tee boxes are crowned and in horrible condition. Not being able to find an even lie on a tee box is crazy. Ive been stuck behind groups of 5 or 6 several times with no rangers in sight, not that they care. At least they finally have a drink cart coming around on the weekend. For the same price there are bett…

Played this course on a Saturday with a 1:06 tee time. As expected for a Saturday it was packed and slowish. We knew this going in, not a big deal, that's weekend golf. The problem came at 5pm, we are on hole 17, the Course manager turns the sprinklers on us while we are playing then drives his truck out onto the course and tells us that we are done. We had 1 1/2 holes to go. Well under pace to finish under 4 1/2 hours. We are not the only ones he shut down. There was a group behind us and a group ahead of us on 18 that he wouldn't let finish either. For the most part, the other employees ther…

Played 1/9/2024. Visiting from Ohio. Played 18. Price was decent overall, they are definitely putting lots of time and work into the course, that can be seen. Beautiful sand traps…which I found a few of. Greens were alright. I had a great time playing this course, I know many people are so harsh on course reviews and I disagree with being so harsh. Not many challenging holes, but this is a great course for all skill levels. If you’re in the area and it’s on your radar it’s worth checking out. I would definitely play again if in the area.

Very nice course and very nice staff however pace of play is terrible; no ranger keeping up with the pace, scheduled tee times back to back and allows golfers to tee off late. I can currently see 6 groups of people waiting back to back. We’ve been here 45 minutes and finished only 3 holes. We usually come here all the time but it only seems to be getting worse.

From the 1st time I played there ( 2 years ago) til now, you can tell they're upgrading the playing experience. New club house on the way, new practice putting green, new tee boxes( some still in progress), and better fairways, and greens. This was a 3 star course with potential. Its 4 star heading in the right direction.

Good golf course for wide open fairways. The course is 50% - 70% greens in February with the greens being average. They are doing a lot of renovations and trees are being removed. In the future this should be a lot better!

Probably the worst public course I’ve ever been too. The golf pro here with the long beard makes it his personal job to make golf the most insufferable sport. Just an absolute joke of a course. Horrible greens. Horrible golf pro. Horrible time. I wish I could rate negative stars.

Went to play a round of golf with my Dad the day before thanksgiving. Was told we had to tee off at 1:24pm but since that was “past the cut off time” for 18 holes to be finished by 5:15, we could only play 9 holes. We kindly told them we would take our $120 (plus more we would have spent on food and beverages) to play at another course, which we did. I grew up playing golf on this course, and I live less than a mile from it, but honestly not sure if I’ll ever play again thanks to the poor management along with the other many stories of how they treat the golfers here. Hopefully something will…

Its a beautiful, challenging and fun course. Well worth the price. The snack bar closes a little early but the bar is open until close. The course itself is very well maintained and proper golf rules seemed to me observed by all. Overall we're have had a great time golfing here.

First time back in 6 years. The course is still in rough shape and the conditions have not changed since I was a teen coming here. The driving range specifically is in horrendous shape. Hitting on pure grass feed and dirt did not make for a great return to Hyde Park. I will once again continue to take my business and practice to a better club.
