In summary

Lake Murray Golf Course is frequently praised for its picturesque setting, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff. The course layout is appreciated for its variety and challenge, with affordable pricing adding to its appeal. However, some visitors have noted issues with outdated amenities, inconsistent course conditions, and occasional slow pace of play, particularly during tournaments. Additionally, communication about course rules and scheduling could be improved.

Enjoyed playing 18 at Lake Murray today. It’s a demanding course and if your skill level is up to the challenge, your sure to enjoy it. There is quite a bit of difference in the hole layouts and no sand traps. I originally had thought of walking and was glad I took a cart. Nice to see the maintenance crew hard at work in different areas. Very nice pro shop and merchandise selection.

Robert, checked us in early this morning what a nice gentleman. Very informative and professional. The course is absolutely beautiful T-boxes, fairways and greens well kept up. I like that I can push my tee into t-box area easily, unlike other courses. Cart path is better than some other courses as well. Will be back very soon. Thank you Lake Murray Golf Course

Really nice course. Played in late April and they had a lot of rain but the course was in great shape. Staff were very nice and helpful since the tourney was running late and ran into my tee time. I will be going back to play again.

For a state park course, LMGC is a much better setting then say Chickasaw Point and compared publicly to Perkins or OKC Hefner courses. It’s about 2 stars but can’t give it 4 although it was a good track. The course : Tee boxes on half the holes were pretty stubborn. Fairways were pretty good overall and despite the heat we had great lies all day. The greens are very small as you’d expect from a state park setup and were better than most city courses. The layout has a few doglegs like 1 and 10 and it’s a great track overall. Only 2 holes have water to somewhat negotiate , yes 1 and 10. After t…

Course is in great shape! Greens are running fast. We love this place. Hidden gem. Great staff and nice pro shop. Highly highly recommended!

I've placed it twice. Four year gap between the visits. Greens are great today. Fairways were terrible. It was very muddy throughout the course. I know it's winter, but the course seemed like it was in worse shape the second time around. Nice to play with members Jan and Tyler. Good people. Thanks

Pro shop is nice and clean, set up well. Trails are in bad shape, so I won’t bring my personal cart again; plus they charge a trail fee if you do. Course is set up well.

first off this course should not be rated 4.5. the tee boxes are are bad, the fairways are meh, the greens are ok but really small. The staff are nice. You might not be able to get anything at the turn because there is only one register and if the is anyone in line good luck. Now why my experience was bad. I woke up a little early and found a 7:20 tee time on a course rated 4.5, Thought i lucked out. On second hole a train of about 20 carts passed me and set up for a tournament in front of me. what I was hoping for a four hour round turned into a 5.5 hour round. Again nice people but they shou…

I play 3 times per week mostly in OKC metro. This course is in better condition than any of them. Would give them a 5 if they served food in clubhouse. Great course guys.

The course is a great place for a relaxed golf game. It is no pebble beach but if your spending the weekend at the lake and you want to play a round with your buddies- it's perfect. It is an easier course as they have zero sand traps and minimal water so if you shank balls you should be able to find most of them.

Beautiful course in great condition. Greens are in great shape and FAST. Probably the best greens in Oklahoma that we’ve played on this year. Fun layout with some good views. Best thing about this course is the price. Super affordable at a lil over $30 for 18 w/ cart

Pretty friendly staff everyone I’ve met course. It’s pretty nice once you get to the back nine the Mountain View is really beautiful during the summer. You could tell the fairways were starting to dry out. Seems like places up here don’t water only the greens definitely fear up in this area and like to play golf this is a place I would check out.
