Las Vegas National Golf Club

The final round of our Eagle Fang Golf trip was here and we had a great time. Friendly service from the time we checked in to the time we left. Nice course, but noisy being so close to the airport. This was the longest track from the whites that we played in this trip. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

I had a great experience at Las Vegas National Golf Course! The service was excellent—everyone at the pro shop and the buggy staff were super friendly, relaxed, and helpful. Las Vegas National is one of those classic Vegas golf courses with a bit of history behind it, and for the price it’s not a bad choice if you want to get out of the casino vibe for a few hours. The layout is traditional with lots of trees and water hazards spread throughout, and being less than 10 minutes from the Strip makes it super convenient. Course was in great shape, staff was very friendly and we played early morning in 3 hrs. I found this to be a tough course, water is close on several fairways and many elevated greens with good bit of undulation. Easy to get short-sided from 2 sides of several greens. It's not desert golf to me, parkland layout with a lot of trees and bunkers. Would recommend, just not desert golf like courses farther out from the strip.

TL/DR Don’t waste your time or money on this terrible golf course. Absolutely terrible greens conditions ,slow play, and calling those dirt holes bunkers is laughable. Generally I am ok with most course conditions as long as I know what I am getting myself into but this course was in terrible shape. Lovely course, great practice facilities and a nice half way house with friendly staff. Greens ran well and the course was in great condition. Making the score down by 1, the price was slightly expensive because I was an over seas player. Total cost was in the region off $150. Fair price imo would be $100. Thanks for having us.

Was there 1-25-26 paid 179.00 bucks here if I would have known the course shape I wouldn't have paid 79.00 the fairways sucked it was bad and worse the greens were complete shit. I was embarrassed for the golf club. I dont take this lightly I love golf but if your going to charge 179 bucks to play it should be a damn decent course. Have played there in the past and enjoy the layout of the golf course. Traditional design. Booked time one month in advance. Arrived at course (1/31/25) and saw how bad the practice green was (50% of it was dead, very poor conditions). Jokingly asked the starter if the greens on the course were as bad, and he replied "unfortunately yes". What? Was very disappointed. The course charged us full rate $179, with no mention of it when making the reservation, no mention when checking in, and no discount offered for the very poor conditions. Great time with the guys visiting in town, but in very poor shape. Luckily it was the locals rate. I was expecting a lot more hearing the hype. It was cool being apart of a historic golf course; but, would not play again until conditions are restored.

I’ve always enjoyed playing at Las Vegas National Golf Course over the years because of its great history and classic layout. It used to be one of my favorite local tracks. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing. The greens were in poor condition, which made putting frustrating and inconsistent. On top of that, the pace of play was extremely slow, taking away from the overall enjoyment of the round. For the current price, the course conditions and pace simply don’t match the value. Course conditions were really poor, pace of play was a nightmare and killed the round. Not a course I would reccomend to anyone that regularly gets out and has a general higher standard or expectation. Cool history and nice staff were nice enough.

Course layout was fun and not too difficult. The greens were rolling quite slow with some very tough pin placements. The bunkers are a bit sketchy but ok. All the rivers are filled with garbage that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in 15 years
