Loon Lake Public Golf Course

The value of this place is not what it used to be. Price is up about 40% over 2-3 years (this year being 2025). $60 for a rural 9 hole course to play 18 with a cart is pretty ridiculous. I like the course, it’s kept in good shape, and it has the feel of a rural course. Fun and pretty informal, but very overpriced.

A wonderful course for middle handicap golfers. A great value as well. Every aspect of this golf course is neat, clean and nicely appointed from the tees, fairways and greens as well as the clubhouse and golf carts. Very competitively priced. Call for a tee time and enjoy.

I grew up on this course in the 70’s and 80’s. It was and still is a wonderful place for kids to play. I play courses in Colorado and those courses have nothing on Loon Lake. I feel rushed and anxious about bringing my daughter. Not the case at Loon Lake. I brought my daughter so she could experience Loon Lake. If you cannot tell, this place has a special place in my heart. Thanks Loon Lake GC.

Pretty average course but fun for the whole family

This has to be one of the best kept secrets. I've lived a few short miles from here and just played Loon Lake for the first time. I'm a lousy golfer but had a great, peaceful morning among friendly people.

Nice, well maintained course with no trouble that is perfect for kids, novices and families. Very nice staff that makes you feel welcome. Good greens all for very modest price.

Average prices, ok to poor course design, and good grounds keeping. This works out to 3 stars for me.

Good public course. New ownership has improved this course greatly. Inexpensive and fun to play. Not as challenging as many of the other course in the area but good fun nonetheless.

Great course and excellent staff. Always make you feel welcome and have fun tournaments and events.

Small easy to play nine hole, but a fun, good quality small town golf course with all the basics.

The staff were friendly. Kids golfed for free. Well kept. Busy enough to show it’s a great place for many.
