In summary

Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its scenic layout, accommodating staff, and enjoyable clubhouse amenities, including good food at the pub. However, several visitors have expressed concerns about the course's declining maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens, cart paths, and bunkers. Additionally, some have noted issues with pace of play and communication regarding tee times and course management.

After a good round of golf the food at the club was great. Though it was only a temporary menu item, the mussels were pleasantly chewy, musky from the garlic, and tangy from the tequila and lime. The downstairs room resembles a sort of cavern, dimly lit with a hidden cave vibe, which is kind of romantic and mysterious. I wish I lived closer to Magnolia Point, it's one of my favorite courses in the Jacksonville area, easygoing with a nice clubhouse.

Fantastic and Great service. Food is southern people golf type bland but really well prepared and plated. Perfect for its normal customers. (Diablo is not hot but jelly type thing.)

Very disappointed with magnolia point golf course today. Booked 2:15 tee time for my buddy’s birthday knowing we should have just enough time to finish before dark which is about 6:45 today. But what happens they have tournament that started late, why I’m not sure bad management I guess weather was perfect all day. So we start at 2:45 and then starter tells us we need to turn carts in by 6 around 5:30 we try to hurry at that point which really killed our mood. But what happens we are finishing hole 17 and starter comes and makes us stop right then and not even finish 18th hole which is directl…

My girlfriends and I golfed this course yesterday- a foursome of experienced golfers. It was busy and we followed a group of four guys, some of whom were having a bad round. We waited almost every shot on every hole and after 12 holes we realized it was going to be a 5 hour round. A ranger never came out to move things along until the par five in the back- which may have been hole 15. After we waited for the guys in front to tee off and hit their 2nd shot on the hole, we hit our tee shot when the ranger (who resembled Don Knotts) drove out and told us we need to speed up play. We told him we h…

Course was very nice, but the starter was rude and forced us to play with two other people. For $140, we should have a choice. If you can't accommodate a pair, then we shouldn't be able to book it. Had we known, I would have paid for a 3rd golfer so we could play at our own pace.

Edit: Used to love this course, but they really let it go downhill the past year. I'd previously given it a 4.5/5 but now it's closer to a 2.5/5. Hopefully they can make improvements - greens, cart paths, everything was in horrible shape the last 3-4 times I played. Shame. Original review: Absolutely love this course - it is in good shape and a great value. Beautiful neighborhood, nice gas powered carts, no issues with pace of play. The course is just flat out fun to play. The greens could use a little love, but that is the case with nearly every course in the area at the moment and we're 10…

Awesome course why you say change in elevation and the dog legs what makes the course. The greens need work not very consistent. You have to play this course more than once to get the feel. This is a course you just don't bomb away from the tee box you actually have to plan out your shots for the best results.

Course is in beautiful condition, but you'll spend more time looking at it than playing. We waited longer at each hole to tee off than it took us to play it. Four groups deep at each hole is a little much...

Have been coming to Magnolia since the early 90"s and we love the community. However, it's incredible how much the golf course has declined. It used to be such a beautiful course and very well maintained but now it's one of the worst in the area. Over the past two weeks we've golfed at Fleming Island, Eagle Harbor, WGV, Cimarrone, and a couple of others. MP is, by far unfortunately, in the worst shape of all. It's become more and more obvious that it's not maintained and no money is being put into the course. The cart path is literally broken, chipped, and downright dangerous throughout the en…

Lived at MP for 30 years. It was the premier golf course in Clay County at one time. Now it is the worst. Every green has several bare spots, the fairways are in bad shape, and the tee boxes need a lot of work. The bathrooms are disgusting with no lights, a hole in one of the doors, doors don’t close properly, no soap, cold water, no paper towels and sadly , it was like that when I moved in 2020 so clearly, nothing has been done to them. The cart paths are an accident waiting to happen. It is sad to see the decline of MP now. The tennis/ pickle ball courts look good, obviously, that is where t…
