Mayfield Golf Course

Not a bad course. I would give it 3.5 stars if google let you. I played the white and blue nines. The course is fairly wide open so if you spray the ball then you can recover. I enjoyed holes 6, 7 and 8 on the white. On the blue I liked the first hole, see the photo below (except for the massive willow tree blocking where your supposed to drive the ball, trim the tree back please!). Decent beginner/immediate level course. It's beginner friendly as the fairway on red course is wide-open with minimum trees. Reasonable pricing for practice.

Good courses. Easy going staff. Wish they had GPS on the carts though.

I went there last Sunday afternoon for my first round of golf ever. A friend of mine recommended this course as it's beginners friendly. We played the white course and it was challenging but not too difficult for a beginner. The staff was amazing. They explained us every detail of the golf course, and couple of time checked us during the course to see how we were doing. Btw Hole 7 has an amazing view. Excellent experience, definitely I am coming back as we couldn't finish the Red course as it was getting dark. Keep it up guys! Jose

I have Played this course several times in the past years including this year. Took a client out for a round on Sept 26/24. Checked in. Took the papers to the starter as usual, who placed their band on the card as proof of payment. Our twosome was there 25-30 minutes before our tee time so I calmly approached the starter and asked if we could tee off earlier on the white course. Great course for the value. It's the perfect course for early in the season as it's fairly wide open and forgiving if you're a little rusty. The staff are great and they even have a food delivery service no matter what hole you are on. When they delivered our food the credit/debit card machine was temporarily down, so they used the "trust" policy and let us pay after our round. I thought that was pretty cool.

The golf was great until we had to deal with a Marshall who was very overbearing and borderline disrespectful. This round happened earlier in the summer and it was brought to the attn of the General Manager who gave us her word to make it right, because you know, customer service...I was okay with that as a reasonable human being...She offered to compensate a round due to our negative experience. Mayfield has really done a nice job of cleaning up /upgrading their courses. The course is in nice shape especially considering the lack of rain recently

(Im going to edit this post after a response from the course) Played on thanksgiving Monday 2023 Weather conditions were cold and windy, but that didn’t stop us. Greens were in great shape. I want to stress this. Employees were pleasant both when booking on the phone and on the course. Tee boxes are/were in terrible shape. Golf carts are aged and in some very rough shape. Very nice and affordable golf course to go play a round. They have 3 9’s so you never feel rushed and they do a good job spacing tee times out unlike other courses after Covid. Better to play this course in sunny conditions because if it’s rained prior or during, tee shots tend to get plugged and you have a hard time finding your ball even if you hit a good drive.

Went here last Sunday. Was very excited as it's 10 mins from home. The PROS -Friendly staff -course lay out CONS -first green was NOT cut and the next 2 was freshly cut then it was mix of green quality. -the rest of the condition was horrible. If you hit your ball slightly outside the fairway, you will not find it. There are massive amounts of grass clippings that cover your visibility on finding your ball. The course is great and club house has good food and drinks. Everything is clean and maintained We came on a Tuesday and it happen to be a discounted day, which was not beneficial. Over booked by the golf course because everyone seemed to be going at a good pace but just booked way too close. Long wait times. We ended up leaving early which was disappointing. Also, for the cart, they charge per person not per cart! Made no sense, one or two people sit on cart, why is there an additional change?
