In summary

Meridian Sun Golf Club offers a value-oriented golfing experience with friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and a variety of amenities, including practice facilities and year-round options like indoor simulator golf. While some visitors appreciate the course's layout and affordability, others have raised concerns about the condition of certain areas, such as fairways and tee boxes, as well as the slow pace of play and occasional lapses in golf etiquette among players. Despite these issues, the club remains a popular choice for casual golfers and those seeking a budget-friendly round.

It is on the cheaper side but still not worth it. I'm giving an an extra star just because of how comically bad literally every aspect of the course is, except for that the ranger & starters are nice. Fairways suck, clubhouse sucks, tee boxes aren't level & appear to have taken artillery fire, greens / pin placements are tough despite the average round shot out here being 130. Nearly 5 hour round was quite painful. A 4some cut us off at the 8th hole as they had gone in for food & drinks after the 7th...haven't heard of that one before. Brat was lukewarm & none of the 3 pens to sign my receipt…

Honest review This place is below average, cart paths are well below average also the layout is extremely poor. Some fairways are worthy some are not great. Pace of play is fair. Price for your value I’ll give a 2/5 $50 to play is outrageous. If you and the guys are just looking to play golf and not care perfect place but to a golfer that plays often and course conditions are a factor take you’re money somewhere else.

Love this place. Family-owned and operated. Everything golf. Whether you have a tee time when the weather is good, or indoor simulator golf in the winter. They have options to make golf year-round. Chris Mory offers private lessons. He phenomenal swing coach, as recognized by Golf Digest as being in the top 10 in Michigan. My own game has dramactially improved since seeing Chris. I enjoy the game of golf so much more because of his instruction.

What a fun course. I was impressed with the value I got, this was a steal. Practice facilities are amazing, wished I lived closer as I’d be on them daily. Greens were perfect and fast. They’re doing some work with either drainage or irrigation so there are currently some lines of just dirt. But nothing that remotely affected play. Best part was the clubhouse staff. Will be back.

Nice course overall. One thing I do want to mention, while my partner and I were playing, we were waiting for the group in front of us to finish, with another group was behind us. As we were hitting, a groundskeeper on a tractor stopped us and asked if we were familiar with a rule about letting groups play through if we’re playing slowly. We are actually fast players and very familiar with golf etiquette. If people are waiting on us, we always pick up the pace, and if there’s no one in front of us, we even skip ahead when appropriate. In this situation, however, we were already waiting on the…

Would have been a 4 if they would've made he pin positions for regular amateur golfers instead of TV pros. One close chip stopped 2 feet below the pin and then proceeded to roll back off the green, and it rolled up. Most of the pin placements were impossible to get close to, Just like on TV...I'll be back, just thought you could give everyone a chance for a bird with easier pin placements and then they may really want to return, and 1 putt plays a lot faster than 3 or 4.😉👍

Have not played here in a few years. Don’t bother making a tee time it is first come first serve. At the turn called the bar/grill @ 6pm on a Friday. Walked into the bar to pick up the burgers and was told they shut down the grill, which takes 3 mins to warm up on the porch. Lazy staff! Come on! Grill was not on even on when we started at 4pm and the course was packed. Instead we got microwaved hot dogs. That said, will not be going back because of the staff.

By far worst place I’ve ever golfed. Employees are not friendly. Would not go so far as to say rude, but close to rude. Fairways were torn up or under construction. Poorly planned links, no maps on posts or provided. Didn’t give us cart keys when we signed in so we had to go back (many places leave keys in the carts). Only grace from one star was greens were fine and carte were fast.

This place should be embarrassed at the conditions of it. Kart paths are awful, fairway are patchy and the greens were covered in leaves. Ill never go back. Yesterday 9/14/2025 was my first and last time ill be golfing there. Pathetic. I literally felt like I should've got a refund. Smh

The course looks awful. Can’t tell the fairway from the rough. The grass is in good condition but when you are hitting from the fairway in two inch long grass, it’s quite absurd, especially for the price.

Tried it for the first time today and can see me coming back but not until at least 2026 or 2027. The warning on the website of course construction is not warning enough, and to continue charging full price for the current condition of the course is unfair. I’d play again this year if it was like $15 for 9 including cart.

Top five worst course in Michigan, I’m not even sure if you could be classified as a golf course. Did not get a smile or a hello from anyone employed by this goat track. Couldn’t tell where the rough, fairway, or green started. The “sand” traps are just dirt pits with broken rakes.
