In summary

Groesbeck Golf Course receives praise for its well-maintained greens and fairways, offering a challenging yet enjoyable layout for players of varying skill levels. Many appreciate the affordable pricing and find it to be a good value, especially with the deals available during weekdays. However, some visitors have expressed concerns over staff professionalism, slow pace of play, and occasional issues with course management, such as unclear communication about course closures and tee time scheduling.

I had a positive experience on the back nine after the storm cleanup and with the new ownership. The tee boxes and greens were clean. The greens were a bit slow but that can happen. During the week (M-Thursday) there are deals for 18 between 10 AM and 1 PM for those able to do it ($32) and between 2 and 3 PM for 9 holes ($25). For a slightly affordable city course operated by new ownership it's 5 stars. In comparison to other local places it's 4 stars for me.

On 10/29/25 my friend and I had a 11am tee time! At the desk they wanted to charge two seniors $38! The summer rate is $32 for golf and cart! They refused to give us summer rate! So fall golf was more expensive than summer golf! In my eighty years, no course has ever charged a higher fall rate! We left and went to Wheatfield Valley! SENIORS BEWARE

Lots of fun holes, usually in pretty good shape. Have shot a wide variety of numbers here (today: awful) but fun every time.

This is the second time this year I have visited this course. I drive from Grand Rapids to play. The course is one of the best kept courses I have played and the cost is amazing! I will be going back forsure. Update: went back again and loved it even more.

Decent course. Golfed the front nine which was a good mix of par 3, 4, and 5 holes. Some challenging holes which I liked. Upkeep was good. $23 for 9 with a cart. I enjoyed it.

Rude front desk employee who was unhelpful and seemed frustrated and eager to wanna go home or some. Shorted us on 2 holes even though when we booked the tee time we told them ahead of time that we are gonna be 10 to15 minutes late and whoever booked our tee time said that was TOTALLY FINE. So unprofessional on their end. Course is good but Staff a Big NO.

It pains me to leave this review. Course management is at an all time low. Much like every course nowadays, they value the almighty dollar over offering a decent experience. Every single hole today had 2-4 groups waiting on every tee box. You had guys hitting from the blue tees waiting for the green to clear on par 4s then chunking their drive 20 yards into the pond. Let's just retee that and hit another one into the pond! Where is the ranger you might ask? Well he's sitting up at the clubhouse being a rude a hole to everyone teeing off! The ranger literally says to us before we tee off "Ma…

Course was sub par.. no food after 6pm.. only saw cart girl once on front 9.. costed 60 bucks for a water and 18.. cant bring a cooler. Better for cheaper all around lansing. At least at Eldorado i can bring my own cooler for these hot days. And they serve hot dogs after 6pm.

Greens and fairways in great condition. Even though the course was busy, played 18 holes in 3:45.

Course is good but front staff is not. They shafted us out of holes because we were a little late even though we called before hand and were told it would be ok. I expect better and this is not expectable as the customer service should be much better for the price I am paying. If I’m paying full price I expect to be getting what I paid for not less!

Grounds crew very unfriendly, made us wait 10+ minutes with people waiting behind us because they would not get off greens. Would not recommend for small children, grounds crew wants to start arguments while being very aggressive. Good course until we met michel the grounds keeper. Very very unfriendly would not recommend!
