In summary

Prairie Creek Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both casual and league players. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with management, citing unprofessional behavior and issues with course maintenance, such as indistinguishable fairways and overgrown trees. Despite these concerns, the course remains a solid value for those looking to enjoy a round without resort-level prices.

Fantastic course. Absolutely zero complaints. From the layout to the course conditions to the staff - no issues whatsoever. A few of the tee boxes were a little rough, but it was early May so I’d expect that to change by summer. I am very excited to play this course again!

My brother and I had a tee time today and the young guy in the pro shop tells us that two groups just went off the front 9 so we could go off the back. We were fine with this and appreciated him looking out for us. What we didn’t appreciate was the owner pulling up behind us at #10 and acting like a total jerk because apparently his group was on hole 9 and going to make the turn. We pulled up to number 10 and within a minute a single rider comes up behind us and asks if we “usually cut in front of people making the turn”. (It appears he left his group back at the club house to come confront u…

The owner is a rude jerk. Had a 3:28 tee time with my brother. I get there at about 2:45 to hit the range before hand. My brother shows up shortly after me and he pays for his round of golf before joining me on the range. I go back to the clubhouse to pay for myself while he finishes up the bucket. As I’m paying, the employee tells me two groups just went off the front, and if we wanted to get out early we could go off the back. We still had 10-15 minutes before our tee time and the place is dead. I tell him we have a few more balls left at the range but will do that once we’re done. I go b…

Not impressed with the behavior of the management staff. Inconsiderate and rude. Not considerate of the scheduled tee time, allowed people who were scheduled 15 minutes after our scheduled time to play prior to us even teeing off. Cart paths were not cart friendly.

Ranger watched my group of four for about 5 holes and didn't say anything to us and nobody was close enough to even ask to pass us. At the end we had a group behind but not waiting long for us. I asked the ranger when we came in if we weren't playing fast enough for him and he said the owner was two groups back and said we weren't playing fast enough. Owner was rude and inconsiderate when paying earlier in the day and ends up out on the course complaining later in the day. Will not go back and continue to give money to a rude owner who complains about his customers.

Pros: It's very affordable and they can get you on the course with little notice. The greens appear to be cut on a regular basis. Cons: Maintenance is severely lacking. Cuts on the fairway are infrequent blending into the rough on most holes. Extremely unprofessional staff really takes away from the benefits of this course. I'm local to the area and have been golfing here for a long time. I had a terrible experience the last time I played here and I will not be coming back. Playing on a Sunday afternoon, tee times were stacked up. Completely expected and typical for a sunny day in the summer…

We golf here every Sunday. Very nice staff, playable course for us who like to play for fun and those who play on leagues too.

It's an inexpensive, challenging course. You can break 90, but if you go offline it can Ballon your score quick. You get what you pay for, and at Prarie you are not paying resort prices. For the money, a great course to play and work on your game. The good: course layout is wonderful! Great signature hole design. Each hole tests you, so if you are looking for a whip-simple, open, easy round this may not be the place. Greens are in really good shape and well maintained. Pace of play is awesome. Driving range, practice green are available. Good beverage selection. Carts are really nice and newer…

Very Disappointed.. I seen bad reviews and some people defending the golf course. But everyone has a right to voice their opinion. So when you see bad reviews I hope the ownership reads and listens because it helps your success. We have not golfed at Prairie Creek Golf Course in years. Poor service at pro shop. Entire clubhouse looks run down. Picnic tables in the back of the pro shop looks like accident waiting to happen. Fairways and tee boxes all crabgrass. Some guy came up to us on a golf cart while we were getting ready to putt and told us to pick up our golf balls and leave because he w…

I very rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience here was not a positive one. This was my first time here and I will not be back. The course was somewhat challenging and hilly, lots of hazards. It could be great if they actually cared about how they treated customers. The manager was very rude. I went in at the turn and commented that we were moving very slow and the manager made a comment about our entire group not being seasoned golfers. When I explained to him that we actually got turned around several times because of the terrible signage on a choppy, sometimes non existent cart path he…
