Mossy Oak delivers one of the most memorable golf experiences you’ll find anywhere. The course layout strikes that rare balance between challenging and inviting—the kind of design that rewards thoughtful shot-making without ever feeling punishing. Every hole has its own personality, and the natural, open landscape creates a stunning backdrop that makes each swing a pleasure. What really elevates the experience, though, is the exceptional staff. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Whether it’s help in the pro shop, guidance at the range, or a quick c…

Mossy Oak and Old Waverly are awesome places to stay and play golf. Claire at Mossy Oak was exceptional at helping us with our group of 24 golfers. I can’t recommend this place enough. Course was immaculate!!!

When most golfers think of golf in Mississippi, they are probably thinking of the Gulf Coast and the Biloxi area. But if you want to experience the best golf in the state, you’ll need to head about four hours north, past Jackson and Hattiesburg, to the little town of West Point, MS. That’s where you’ll find Old Waverly and Mossy Oak, two of the best golf course layouts in the state. West Point, MS isn’t near any large city – Memphis is the closest and it’s 2 ½ hours away – so it provides a great sense of tranquility and solitude. However, it’s also a convenient location - most major southern…

Pure as can get, dope layout! Cabins off #10 fwy super nice to stay and play! “Nature’s Golf Course” **Only wish this notch of golf course would make its way to Northern Mississippi, seems like all the money development course are atleast 21/2 hrs away from Olive Branch; my hometown.

Wonderful conditions, mostly wide-open fairways, tricky and fast greens. If it is your first time playing, get a forecaddy. I got lost on a couple of holes.

This should be the number one course in Mississippi. What a great walking track. Gold tees are a challenge. Greens roll true. In my top five of the Southeast. Maybe the nation.

The tall grass was really a struggle and think it needs to be taken care of more it is hard to hit out of and hard to find my balls in the grass

Wow! What a course. The greens are exquisite and very challenging. The course itself has some wonderful bunkers. This course was one of the most enjoyable and toughest I have played. Next time I want to stay in one of the cabins and play multiple rounds.

Do not book here!! We booked our trip over a year ago for 8 guys. We had over 8,000 dollars worth of golf and lodging booked and we were cancelled with zero notice. If we had not called to confirm everything 2 months out our credit card on file would have been hit for all the money we had booked for the trip. The course is now private and the management is an absolute joke. Zero care for people that had a ton of money committed to this place.

Mossy Oak GC is certainly the most unique course in Mississippi that I've played, and compared to the average MS course it is an experience. I thought there were a fair amount of well designed holes and the conditioning was very good, not great. All that being said, I found it disappointing. Based on appearance I was hoping for a heathland-style golf round but the fairways were just a soft as any other in the state; can't really play the ground game. The greens were OK but several putts were wobbly on the way to the hole. Finally, while I do believe that the course has "natural" contours and m…

Best course I have ever played! Impeccable greens and the entire course is in perfect condition, but what sets it over the top is the design by the Rio Olympic course designer Gil Hanse. Every single shot requires strategy and I loved that. Can't wait to play it again!

Unlike any other golf course in the south. Gil Hanse created a masterpiece. Coupled with Old Waverly, which is a completely opposite, equally world class design, this is one of the top golf destinations for 36 holes in the country.
