Murphy’s Pub inside Old Waverly Golf Club was absolutely amazing. From the friendliest of staff, Miss Paige was an amazing server, she anticipated my needs, and her service was not only fast but friendly. The Chef salad here is absolutely a Summers delight, as it is made fresh, and from what I am told by the chef, the secret ingredients is love. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and you can easily have a conversation without having to shout or yell.. this is an absolutely hidden gem that needs to be seen and experienced.. huge kudos to the management team at Murphy’s pub you have a stel…

Great course and great food! The staff is fabulous and everything is very well kept. We live out of state but our family have been members for years. Worth joining or playing with a member. The weddings I have seen look beautiful as well!

As a Mississippi wedding photographer, I can honestly say that Old Waverly is one of the most beautiful venues in our state! From the golf course views & beautiful clubhouse to the intimate courtyard & guest cottages, Old Waverley truly has it all. The staff is friendly & great to work with. It is an amazing place to have a wedding!

I love playing here as a guest. It's just a beautiful course that makes my home state proud. And most of the holes, including nearly all on the back nine, are fun or strategic. The landscaping around the mansion and clubhouse is beautiful as well

Both Mossey Oak and Old Waverly were great courses for all handicaps. Challenging but not frustrating. Wonderful accommodations and look forward to my next visit.

An excellent golf destination. Groups from around the Southeast (mainly Memphis, Birmingham and all of MS) come for their annual golf event. The original Old Waverly course is near perfect and worth playing 9/10 times over their newest offering across the street in Mossy Oak. The food was once excellent, but dismal service and lack of creativity gives you only unhealthy, stale choices. The service has been surprisingly poor and slipping through the years. Our waitress chose to share homophobic jokes as my group was walking out. She even shared, “they get mad at me if I hit the customers.” I s…

Do not book here!! We booked our trip over a year ago for 8 guys. We had over 8,000 dollars worth of golf and lodging booked and we were cancelled with zero notice. If we had not called to confirm everything 2 months out our credit card on file would have been hit for all the money we had booked for the trip. The course is now private and the management is an absolute joke. Zero care for people that had a ton of money committed to this place.

Golf course was solid! Challenging and fun. The restaurant is next to awful. Just had the toughest Ribeye for $55 and a cold baked potato. The entire meal was just terrible. The first meal two nights ago was not much different but took twice as long. I would have been better off ordering a hot dog and potato chips. The waitress and bar tender were great though!
