In summary

Myth Golf & Banquets offers a visually appealing and challenging course layout with some unique features, such as wooded paths and a par 3 course, that many players enjoy. However, the course has received criticism for its poor condition, particularly the tee boxes and greens, and issues with slow pace of play and overcrowding. Management has acknowledged these concerns and is reportedly working on improvements, but some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with customer service and unfulfilled promises of compensation.

Absolutely 💯 a waste of money!! First off the tee boxes barely had grass and hard as a boulder( might want to bring a drill to prevent drill hole for your tee) . Fairways and greens are no better. Plus definite OSHA violations for exposed wires right next to tee boxes. Obviously the superintendent taking care of this place is definitely not doing his job or there is nobody managing this property. Just beware of a waste of money.

Visually a nice Michigan course. The rate quoted when we made our tee time was higher when we checked in. The course moved well, but play was light because it was windy and cool. Didn't like all the wood cart paths. Very noisy and in some places real narrow.

Had a great round here last weekend! This was a very challenging course with some tight holes that required technical shots. Out of bounds here is not forgiving haha. Really liked how you are driving through the woods to get to the next hole. Pace of play of was good, cart girl was attentive, and they had burgers, dogs, and sausages right at the turn. Had a good time here! Par 3 course looks fun aswell.

Mixed feelings about this course… If you’re in a hurry, this isn’t for you. 18 holes took 5 hours. The course is packed! The complaints about the tee boxes are warranted. The first two holes have nice tee boxes but it goes downhill from there. You won’t find a flat spot or much grass on the others. The course is tight with LOTS of trees and water to navigate. If you’re willing to walk into the woods you won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of replacement balls to be found. My golf partner literally found at least 75 balls without slowing pace of play as we were waiting on nearly every shot.…

Took 7 hours to play 18! Course was in bad shape! Manager promised a compensation round (18) each, for the 3 people in my party, after I called and complained. Just tried to book the compensation rounds and was told the old manager is no longer there. The new manager will not honor the promise. She said the best she could do is 9 holes, and we can pay for the other nine! I use to like this course, but no longer. Huge wait times on each hole, poor conditions, no regard for their customers.

Unique golf course as others have stated but holy moly - WHAT A MESS! Tee boxes are destroyed. Fairways not much better. The real issue was tee times within 5 minutes. I was in a two some and consistently had to wait 10+ minutes to tee off at each hole due to the crappy wait. It totally ruins your momentum. We paid for 18 but left after 9 holes that took us 3 hours to complete. The owners should be absolutely embarrassed. First time and last time I will ever golf here.

It’s such a cool piece of property with tons of potential, but I have nothing good to say about this course except that they do have a freshly paved parking lot, which probably cost them a ton. It has a par 3 course which is great for new golfers to learn on. But new players have no business being on the full 18. It is unkind.

Awesome course for the money. Check golf now app for hot deals and you can play a round here with cart fees for 20$ - 30$. Track has some challenging holes. Lots of boardwalk to travel on which was kind of fun.

Played at Myth Golf & Banquets over the weekend. Overall, I enjoyed the round — love the layout, and you can’t beat those hot dogs at the turn! The greens were rolling nicely and you can tell they’ve been putting in work on the irrigation system. That said, I was a little disappointed with the front nine — particularly the tee boxes on 3, 5, and 7, which were a bit chewed up. I did have a chance to talk with the owner while I was there. He mentioned they recently let their superintendent go due to performance issues and are actively searching for a new one for the 2026 season. The good news…

This use to be my favorite course....but not any more! Played last month and it was so crowded it took 4 hours to golf the first 9!!! We would pull up to holes and there would be 6 sets of foursomes waiting to tee off!!!! It was awful!! When we finished, we asked for compensation. The person working was not authorized to approve a compensation, but had the manager call us the following day. The manager was appologic, and stated he had so many complaints, that he would comp us a round each. He said that here would be a note stating such under the register. We tried to book a round for tomorrow,…

I was hesitant to play this course based on a lot of less than favorable reviews, but I am glad I did. I have played courses all over Michigan and other states and actually belong to a private course just to bring in some context. 1. Your round will be 4.5 - 5 hours if you go on the weekend. It is a public course with all types of skill levels so that is not necessarily the fault of the course. Plus it is very reasonably priced so you must take some good with some not so good. 2. Some tee boxes and some greens could use a little TLC. However, the fairways were in really good shape, grass is gr…
