New Paltz Golf Course is a special venue given its scenic and secluded location. The staff are professional and very friendly. The food, between Maggie Mae's and Garvan's, is fantastic. Maggie Mae's has a wonderful veranda where you can enjoy excellent views of #1 tee and #9 green with the Shawangunk Ridge as a backdrop. You'll be hard-pressed to not see an assortment of wildlife on the course, between deer, hawks, turtles, and chipmunks. In terms of the course, NPGC is a fairly long 9 hole public course measuring about 3300 yards from the middle (white) tees. The layout offers elevation chang…

There were no fairways! I'm not exaggerating. Its May after a warm winter; the fairways should be cut by now. Restaurant: the food was fantastic. The wings were meaty and crispy. The service was neglectful. what should've been a quick lunch lasted 2.5 hours.

This is a terrific course. It is well groomed and in a gorgeous setting. The availability of lunch, upstairs in the clubhouse is convenient, and the food is good. There is also a full bar. The clubhouse store has a terrific selection of whatever you need. Great experience all around.

The staff, namely Kathy, was very helpful with scheduling our first tee time at the course. In addition to wonderful staff, the course is beautiful and a great balance between challenging and rewarding.

Fun 9 hole track. We played in late season and the course superintendent did a wonderful job on the greens and leaf removal which is not easy in the Northeast. If the weather was better I probably would have gave a five star rating. Great friendly staff. Food and beverages afterwards made this and even better day.

Went to Garvans restaurant there. Food is always outstanding but this time my potatoes were cold. Prices are very reasonable. I had the shirt rib and it's always melt in your mouth and fall off the bone. Def check it out.

A delightful Irish Pub feeling in a historical home. The food is spectacular and the setting has an old world charm. Make sure you have a chat with the owner who adds that extra touch to every visit. The menu ranges from a Gorgonzola Burger to a wide salmon dish that melts in your mouth. Make sure to try the Roast Beef with mashed potatoes!
