Newport Beach Golf Course

Newport Beach Golf Course is an executive course in a luxury neighborhood 😁, Newport. A typical executive course, while it's a 18-hole one, you'll need walk across the street to Hole 3-8 from Hole 2, and come back to the same side of road for the rest of your Front 9, which I was not impressed. After Hole 9, you'll need to pass through a tunnel for your Back 9, and it's getting a little more fun 😊. Hole 10, 220 yards Par 3, a pond on the right side of the green 💚. Hole 12, an uphill 95 yards Par 3. And the happy ending is that Hole 15/16/17 are all Par 4s, that you can bring out your woods…

So for the price it got 4 stars, course needs to replace a lot of the tee boxes. Hitting off mats for a majority of the holes isn't great, but you can see there is effort to make the course better with replacement tee areas. Course is tight, be aware of your surroundings as new golfers do not yell "Fore." Lots of dirt patches around the course. The putting greens were the best part of the course as you can see they were decent to higher quality than other OC courses.

Nice executive local course 18 hole and easy to walk. Several holes have mats off the tee but still makes It fun and works on the short game. Greens are always in good shape! $2 senior discount also. Great bar and restaurant on site and pro shop is top notch

Great little driving range. Hoping that developers don’t go through with their plan to demolish it.

They surpassed my expectations. Greens are in great condition. The few longer holes were a fun chance to use longer clubs. Most holes have mats in the tee areas, but some holes have grass tee boxes. Overall it's a fun course with friendly staff. The golf shop is pretty awesome as well.

Best hidden spot to bring a young or older golfer. Played nine holes with my grandson two different days and stopped in pro shop where Steve helped me by regriping my club then got some lunch. What a nice little course and very reasonable in cost. Go get out and play!

Fun! Pretty worthwhile course. Get to watch monster aircraft directly overhead. Long enough to use all your clubs, but easy enough to carry the bag. A nice short course to try on a cloudy afternoon.

This is pretty much the best course to play if you don’t want to feel like you’re at a golf course. Tees are off the mats, all par 3s and a few par 4s. Usually pretty quick because the course isn’t that long. Terrible bartenders but you know what you’re getting into before you go so grab a 12 pack and play a 3 hour 18.

I played this course as part of a ForeGals Golf event. Given the massive amounts of rain, the course was in less than ideal conditions, which was to be expected. I was just grateful to get out and play and be introduced to some more lady golfers with like mind sets. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun walking this course.

A fun, fast, and reasonably priced golf experience, in a convenient location. The course condition can vary significantly depending on the time of year, but you really get your money's worth here. There are no concession carts here, so plan accordingly.

I’ve been going to this golf course for years and years just like we all have. And yesterday I just got to the point when I played in the morning that I can’t stand this Golf Course anymore because the owners are so cheap. They raise the prices and keep the golf carts, so dirty and filthy and broken and don’t even bother to clean them when you show up to play that shows total lack of care. They soak the course before you even play even when it’s rained, this course has just gone all the way off the cliff do not play it in the morning if you value dry feet and a good experience.

The mats are simply worn out on the driving range. Some are better than others but many are trashed, not flat and terrible for the money. These are about $85 to replace! While I don't expect great balls, they are also pretty worn out, some barely even have dimples. If you just need a few swings, it's fine but don't expect anything nice and it's terrible for the price.
