In summary

Oak Grove Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic and challenging layout, which provides a sense of privacy and offers a good test for golfers of all levels. The course conditions, particularly the fairways and greens, generally receive positive feedback, although some visitors mention issues with the tee boxes and bunkers. However, customer service and management practices have been criticized, with some experiencing unprofessional interactions and disruptions in play due to course events or maintenance.

Very remote golf course with tree line holes. Holes #3 and #6 on the front are beautiful and tough. On the back #11 is the one they ask you about and it is a unique Par 5. The condition was ok. The greens were good.

The layout of the course is fantastic, you feel like each hole is a private hole without being on top of the other hole as some courses have. The scenery is stunning. The course is quiet with only one hole where you can hear a road. Most courses are not as quiet. Only complaints are the tee boxes need work and a good number of ball marks on the greens were not fixed. This course could be top quality with a bit more work. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. The fairways were quite nice and wide enough but loved the variation of each hole which played into club selection.

This review is based solely on tne lousy customer service I received upon arriving on a Saturday afternoon (10/26) during a course event. Couldn't have been more than 40 cars in the entire lot. No golfers in the clubhouse or on the 1st or 10th holes as well as no golfers coming down 9 or 18. Knew it was gonna be a bad experience as soon as I entered the clubhouse and Rich yelled out "What do you want", instead of tne customary "How can I help ypu". I asked Rich if he could slip me out and his response was "Sure, after the event was over in 2 hours" Pointed out to Rich I was a single and didnt…

This used to be my favorite course to play on weekdays. I usually start my play shortly after noon time. I was playing by myself and got through the front nine in slightly less than 2 hours. But soon after I began the back nine, all of a sudden these 2 guys in a cart came up behind me on the tee and said, "You don't mind if we cut in, do you?" My response was, "Did you come off the front nine?" They said, "NO. We have a league today and we need to play a couple holes for practice." I never got a chance to say, "Yes", or "No." They just teed off and bolted down the fairway in front of me. Now,…

Good looking-ish course, okay golf carts, they specialize in throwing in a bunch of groups ahead of you to start on the 10th hole so when you get around to the 10th you have to wait 30+ minutes to tee off in the middle of your round… this place needs to get a grip and send people to the right tee boxes.

I have played this very challenging course over the last 15 years. Great layout, hosted many USGA qualifiers, very scenic, ample wildlife. Bring lots of balls if you tend to 'spray' them. Not much for food, bar and pro shop are good.

Course was in great condition when we played mid June 2024. Really fun layout, and quite a challenge from the rear tees. Fairways were really tight and lush, and the greens were very smooth and rolled fast. Bunkers were in mediocre to bad condition, but there was some rain the previous days. Price was pretty good for a weekend morning as well. Would return!

Course is nice and in nice condition as we approach the end of summer. Fairways are fast, greens are receptive. Bunkers are placed strategically and will gobble your ball up. The Negative part was the check-in, not very friendly and almost as if they did not want to be there. Carts were unavailable and keys were impossible to find based on the disconnect of where to get one from. Overall, worth the play.

Showed up for a 4:07 there were 2-3 cars in the parking lot after driving 40 min we are getting our clubs out 2 workers come out in a golf cart say “the manager called me a couple hours ago and said we can’t let anyone out past 4” I hear them whisper wait till they leave and as we are pulling out we see them putting their clubs on a cart to go play after kicking us out. Unprofessional and ridiculous no one should play here.

Played Monday am this place needs serious help. Tee boxes chewed up need water and repairs . Greens pelted guess people don't repair divots anymore. Forget about bunkers like concrete let's get raking people. This place used to be a nice place to golf !! Good luck . Hope this place makes it.

The more I play here, the more I like it. The course has a great layout that’s both challenging and fun. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all pretty well maintained. There’s a nice driving range and practice area. Clubhouse and bar are also nice. Not a lot of employees so service can be a little slow. Also, the course is a ways off the 94 corridor so it takes some time to get there. Definitely worth trying out though!

Conditions were mid but the layout was fantastic. It’s a great addition to a lake Geneva golf trip because it’s very inexpensive. If you are capable of playing the tips, it’s a great challenge
