In summary

Oak Hollow Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, beautiful layout, and friendly, accommodating staff, contributing to a positive golfing experience. The course offers a good mix of challenging and approachable holes, making it suitable for various skill levels. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow service at the clubhouse, crowded tee times leading to a slow pace of play, and occasional maintenance concerns such as overwatered areas and inconsistent fairway conditions.

The course played well, and was maintained very nicely. The service however was a little slow at the clubhouse (waited over 10-mins for service) no one ever came to take our order. The course only has one service cart on the grounds, so it may be a while before you see the cart girl come your way - so it’s a good idea to load up your ice bucket with waters and bevs before heading out on the course.

We were in McKinney for our family’s Thanksgiving and I wanted to take my brother-in-laws golfing for the first time. I called around to a few courses and ended up talking with David at Oak Hollow—easily the best decision of the day. David was awesome right from the start. We joked about Texas Tech (we’re from Lubbock), and he not only took care of us with a tee time but even hooked us up with a great discount. I’m pretty sure the Tech banter sealed the deal. 😂 The course itself was amazing—beautiful layout, great features, and the perfect mix of fun and challenge, especially for first-timer…

Beautiful course, staff was great except for it’s really hard to play as a double here. It seems they try to push everyone into a foursome. Other than that, I know it’s always a busy course, and somewhat understand, I’d love it more if I could play as a double with my husband. It’s kind of our new thing to do together.

OK, so this is a comeback story! Just 3 years ago, my friend asked me to go play at Oak Hollow, where we could get on for $14. I said, "I will save my $14, no thank you, playing there would be like sliding down a razor blade into a pool of alcohol. In all honesty, I wouldn't have played the course for free if offered. The ONLY good thing about that course was the staff, they were always happy, probably because no one ever came to play, LOL :) BUT NOW!!! WOW! Staff is even more amazing, and now I play there 3 - 6 times a week, and it is like family, truly. I am not big on sugar coating and I d…

#mckinney’s #public #golf course & it’s a good one! The course reopens fall 2023 after major renovations ( new greens / tee boxes / facilities improvements/ redone irrigation system ++ ). I play Oak Hollow from the back (6680 / 71.6 /118 ) - the white tees are 6050. This course suits all skill levels. The par 3’s are long; the par 5s fair with birdie opptys & nice variety of par 4s There’s room on the course if you mishit a shot ( there’s water & a few fairway bunkers & OB & some tall rough but vs other public courses there’s room to make a mistake ). Good range & chipping / putting area Super…

If I could put zero stars I would. They have the most condescending people working in the pro shop. Terribly rude and wrong. Then refused to refund my wife when they charged her for a cart for a tournament when they shouldn’t have and the guys were extremely rude. They Refused to even knowledge my wife who was trying to explain the situation and he kept interrupting her saying “tap your card.. tap your card.. tap your card” I will never play there or sign my kids up for tournaments there again. People like that give golf professionals a bad name. If you hate your job that much, find something…

I’ve been playing this course for 5 years now. After the renovation the price has doubled, the quality is the same, the course is always backed up and you can’t get ahold of the pro shop. 50$ for a 5 o’clock tee time at this course absolutely ridiculous. Smh 🤦‍♂️

Played the course today. Course is in decent shape. But way overwatered, so much mud surrounding the greens. Greens are rock solid and hard to stick. Pin placements today were disgusting (photo for reference) all 18 pins were like this. Tried to give it another chance but won’t be back for a while.

Pace of play was unbelievable, if you are looking for a 5.5-6hr round for $70 this is the place for you. They stack their tee times so close together and marshall’s don’t show up very often at all. However even if they were there every hole not sure there is anything they could do due to the course management scheduling people so close together. Overall the course was in decent shape, greens and fairways were taken care of and none of it is right next to houses which is different than a lot of DFW courses. Shining moment would be Katie the cart girl who had a fantastic attitude and did a great…

Wow, let me tell you what, Chris and everybody at Oak Hollow have made for absolutely excellent hosts! We booked a regular casual game here and were treated like royalty. They have the carts all prepped and staged for us, worked with us on a last minute change, and kept us updated the entire time. An excellent course, with excellent staff. Keep it up y'all, and thanks for the great game!!

I play many courses a month and I always try and play this course at least once a week. The course is in really good condition and the greens roll fast and pure. The scenery is always beautiful with the big oak trees. Not to mention the customer service there is superior. Everyone is super nice there but if you get to meet Korey he is the best. He goes above and beyond to make sure your time there is the best. I would encourage everyone to play here any chance they get.

Course wasn’t in great shape. Fairways were terrible but had a good driving range.
