In summary

Oneonta Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging yet fair layout, and scenic setting. The staff receives high marks for their friendliness and accommodating service, with the club also noted for its good food and amenities. While some visitors find the course a bit pricey and mention occasional maintenance issues, such as tractor tracks on greens, many consider it a worthwhile experience, especially for those in the area.

The course was in great condition. It is obvious the greens crew is competent and dedicated. It is a nice layout, challenging but fair. The changes in elevation make the two sides unique. I would definitely play this again.

Decent course. Steer clear if you aren't local. Not worth the $85 price. Especially with tractor tracks on some greens

Had my wedding at the Oneonta Country Club this past weekend. Paul and all the staff were extremely supportive, accommodating, and generous throughout the entire process. Paul made all of my requests a reality and dealt with some last minute ceremony changes due to weather. He made sure everything was centered, displayed the way we wanted, asked if I was comfortable throughout the entire process, and even helped hang decorations and take them down! As the night went on, staff were always around to take care of our needs yet were not intrusive and did not take away from the intimacy of the nigh…

First time to the club for me and my Dad. He hadn't played in the decade but puttered around great. I found the course to be in wonderful shape. A bit wet in spots but with the weather this spring, that's almost anywhere. The greens are smooth and manicured. Worth the drive for the price we got for using the WBNG Golf card. A great deal on nine rounds of golf. The staff was excellent and made you feel as though you were a "member for the day". Very unique, you play 10 and 11 tee shots as you don't want to return to the shared tee. We had a blast and will be back soon.

I've been playing this course since I was 12 years old. It's not the fanciest in the world, but the greens are well maintained, the course is in super shape and there is a decent restaurant and bar for some eats and drinks after or before the round. The price is VERY reasonable for the caliber of the course. It is a great place to play and is challenging, but not overly tough. Give it a shot if you are in Oneonta.

Finally open to the public, the gem appears to be a shell of its former glory, BUT A MUST PLAY if you are in the area. Economy has left its mark in the beautiful Catskill area which has opened the door to some wonderful opportunities for golfing. I was only able to play this beautifully scenic course in the fall, after aerofication, so i can only guess on the greens conditions during the regular season. I was impressed with the condition of the rest of the track so im assuming that the greens could be amazing. (although some greens keepers tend to shag them up some for public) Challenging layo…
