In summary

Painted Desert Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout with narrow fairways, and friendly, accommodating staff. The picturesque setting and reasonable pricing are also highlighted as major positives. However, some visitors have noted issues with pace of play, particularly due to closely spaced tee times and a lack of marshals, which can lead to delays on the course.

Really nice course achievable pars. First time.playing a desert course and pleasantly surprise how much I liked it. Now the heat is another story. When I visit again I will come back. The staff....the best! Im in hospitality and everyone we encountered was very pleasant, engaging and helpful.

B+ course overall. The price was right for a Hot Deal on Golf Now at $60. Very much plays like a typical resort course in Palm Springs. Fairways favor a straight ball and there can be hanging lies and thick grass swails along the fairways and near greens. Weather for us was perfect. Wind the day before was worrisome but laid down. Very easy to see if you get a high wind day out here it would be a tough. Green speed would guestimate about 9.5, very average but all rolled true to line. Worst feature by far was hard as rock bunkers. No way to play a green side shot from any of them. Overall good…

Friendly staff and the greens were fast and in great shape. The fairways were green and in good shape. Lots of dry grass and rocks if you didn't find the fairway

Had fun playing this course. Only drawback was weather was a little chilly that day in December. Other issue was Geese fecal matter on certain holes. Neither issue the course can help just Mother Nature lol. The holes are narrow so know how to put the ball in the fairway because the rough is rocks and hard dirt.

Pro shop guy was really on his game. Check in and paying for purchases was smooth and trouble free. The course was in really good shape and was challenging due to the narrow fairways and windy conditions. If I lived in Vegas I would play here more. Outstanding for sub $50 on Golf Now!

For a $65 round, 10/10. The staff were very pleasant, the course was really well designed, well maintained and super fun to play. Some of these other reviews complained about pace of play...sure, whatever. We waited a bit on a few holes. The course didn't have a marshal in the field and they definitely sent people out with less space between groups than I would consider normal. Can you really expect perfection for an affordable round at a public course? I think not. Come in with reasonable expectations and I guarantee you won't leave disappointed.

Terrific experience for people looking for a semi-desert golf track. Fairways are narrow but forgiving and greens are accessible. Conditions were very good in June '23. Enjoyable layout. Staff were exceptional, on check-in, bar service and when our cart died on hole 15. Brought us a new cart in minutes. Overall it was 4.7 stars.

While the narrow fairways and residential setting might not suit every golfer's taste, there's undeniable charm to this golf course. Several holes hug sparkling water features, providing picturesque backdrops for your shots. My three-star rating reflects some speed bumps we encountered during our round. Tee times spaced mere 7 minutes apart led to a 20-minute delay for our morning start, and the overall pace stretched to nearly 5 hours. Frequent waits at tee boxes were the main culprit, and while the lack of a roaming marshal and free range balls might be dealbreakers for some.

Don't go. Save yourself the aggrevation. I can't tell you how many times today I heard "oh, I am so sorry". At check in when they would not honor my Arcis "free round" even though I called and asked when I booked it, to the starter who was just a mess and refused to believe me that the 4th that the course put with my 3 some booking was a no show to the terrible course conditions to the terrible pace of play with no marshals on the course on a super busy day....The place used to be decent and improving but today it was just bad. Cart paths are a mess, bunkers are concrete or mud, most greens ar…

This is a fun course tucked away in a residential area. Not a destination course, but I play it just about every time I visit LV. Staff is always friendly and helpful in a neighborly way. I wish the HOA would keep the condo grounds in as good of condition as the course is! Got home to CO and found that we grabbed the wrong size shirt. Pro shop staff was totally helpful in making sure we got it swapped corrected.

Great course, for a very solid price. Pace of play was a major issue. No marshals or starters and it took us over an hour to play 3 holes. Rating would be close to perfect if it wasn’t for this especially with the price point. We enjoyed their sister course Desert Pines.
