In summary

Painted Mountain Golf Resort is appreciated for its friendly staff, convenient location, and a range of amenities including a pool, pickleball court, and restaurant. Many guests find the golf course enjoyable, with some noting it is in good condition and provides a pleasant experience. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding slow pace of play, occasional maintenance issues, and some dissatisfaction with room cleanliness and noise from adjoining rooms.

Great location for what we were looking for. The rooms are very simple but nice. We ended up staying in the golf course side next to the restaurant which was very nice. Our only complaint would be that we had a room that had an adjoining room and we could hear their conversations. That was really annoying especially in the morning when our son was trying to sleep.

3 of us played on a Saturday. We were leary of slow play, But were pleased to say we played in just over 4 hrs. The course was in good shape, the greens were good.. a little fast. The employees were all friendly. We will definitely come back

We came from Pennsylvania to see our son and I wasn’t sure what to expect from so many poor reviews. Glad we chose to play here! Everyone from check in, to the bag handler and even the marshals were welcoming and engaging. Course was great and we did 18 in 4 hrs with a group kind enough to let us play through. Not sure if people are spoiled on high end courses but coming from PA and for the price it was a great day out. Pizza was awesome too!

Wonderful, friendly staff. Clean grounds. WONDERFUL, helpful grounds people! Perfect size for families and couples with lots of activities: play area, pickleball court, picnic areas, shuffleboard, ping pong, huge connect four, pond with fountain, close to grocery stores, churches, and Costco. GREAT pool close to all buildings. Nice grills available. Pet friendly. Fun golf course. Restaurant on site.

Their phone service is terrible. Took 3 different calls on 3 different days to finally get someone helpful and kind. I think her name was Kristen or Kirsten. She was helpful, cheerful, actually had something actionable for me to do to fix my issue and it worked. But shouldn't have taken 2 weeks to fix. Upon arrival the 2 at the front desk were fun, friendly, and beyond helpful. It did feel like once we were inside our room that all I wanted to do was clean. There was a lot of built up grime everywhere. I scrubbed the tub, cleaned the jets, and then waited to make sure hot water could heat up a…

We are Westgate timeshare owners. This is one of the resorts available to us as owners. Since we now have family in Phoenix this is a very convenient place to visit each year. The staff has always been professional, friendly and accommodating. Our 2 bedroom, two bath condo with full, kitchen, living room and washer and dryer have always been clean and well maintained. Even though this is not affiliated with the golf course, we love the view of one of the fairways from our balcony. There is a pond with grills and picnic area at the back of the property. There is also an outdoor entertainment ar…

I booked a tee time so I could golf with my wife and have a relaxed round together. Instead, the course moved our tee time back an hour and a half. When we finally got to the first hole, we were told to skip hole 1 entirely and jump in with a twosome on hole 2. From that point on, the pace was awful. It took four hours to play only 12 holes, and we eventually had to leave without finishing. Completely disorganized experience and very disappointing. If you’re planning your day around a tee time, don’t expect it to be respected.

Beautiful resort! Great pool and hot tub, workout area. Lodging failed, no ice maker in the freezer, water line was installed but they forgot the icemaker. Large flat screen TV but no channel guide in the room or on the screen. Not smart TVs either.

Overall, the course itself was great. The employees have poor time management and would send people out to hole 1 before the previous group was even halfway finished with it. As a result everyone was constantly waiting on each other whether they were skilled or not. If you want to feel rushed, then go ahead and book a tee time here. Otherwise you are better off at any other local spot.

The golf course was in decent shape. Tee boxes weren't great, and some bare/dry patches on fairways and greens. Layout wise, it isn't overly challenging. Good scores can be shot! Never saw a cart girl the 3 hours I was playing, though... I'd say the course and clubhouse could afford a nice face lift, pretty dated overall. It's worth giving the course a shot one time, but that might be it.

This Westgate property is a nice place to stay, but is somewhat dated already. I believe it started as a timeshare vacation resort, but we stayed a week here booked through our airline, and are not part of the timeshare, nor were we pressured to buy into it. We were assigned the smallest studio room, as did our travel companions, who had noise issues with two different neighbors in their adjoining room. I would stay here again, but they said they would not. Parking in the evenings can be a challenge, so expect to walk a ways (safely) to your room if you go out for dinner or shopping. The ameni…

Not in great shape Fairways are shaggy and the grass is sparce Tee box’s are shaggy and have a ton of divots making it tough to find flat spots. Layout is funny with back to back par 3s on the back nine. Pace of play is seems slow. Not unusual to have three groups on the same hole. Still played in 4.5 hours though so not terrible. Website said $55 dollars to play and was charged $70. When asked the staff member I was dismissed quickly. Way better courses to play for $70 in the same area.
