In summary

Pheasant Country Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, appealing layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for golfers in the Dickinson area. The course's condition, including the greens and fairways, is often highlighted as a standout feature, complemented by the amenities such as GPS-equipped carts and a quality restaurant. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance in the past, including winter damage and temporary closures, which have affected their experience.

Best kept course in the area hands down, great food at Birdies, and amazing staff. Allows us to enjoy a round golfing and then hit Medora and badlands in the afternoon!

Approachable 18 hole golf course that still offers a challenge if you are not accurate off the tee. The course was in fantastic shape and was very well manicured. If you haven't played Pheasant Country it is more than worth the trip to play!

Wonderful golf course in small town North Dakota. Surrounded by a little bedroom community for Dickinson. Fabulous condition course that was five star in it's layout & play ability. Loved it & will recommend to golfing friends to include playing when in western North Dakota.

Beautiful 18 hole golf couse around Heart River. Not many have found our treasure. Newly renovated! Restaurant open year round, limited hours during winter.

Played today 9/10/2025 This course is so Impressive I was Overwhelmed at how well its maintained the Tees are superbly kept with a container for broken tees ball washers club washers on virtually every hole, the fairways are So exquisitly cut they look like MLB stadium perfection..the greens a bit slower than you anticipate if you are used to playing fast greens like Bully Pulpit or most greens in Texas but they roll So True I met the Super today unfortunately I can't recall his name.. if you even get one chance to play this course Do it...my only regret is only getting to play this course onc…

Course totally rebuilt and in perfect condition. GPS on golf carts. Tee Off boxes and fairways immaculate. Excellent friendly staff with a great restaurant and I highly recommend. A bucket list addition for anyone golfing in North Dakota. Great value and price.

My spouse and I played a round of 9 holes on Sunday, September 1 in the afternoon. We were paired with a local gentleman who took the time on each hole we played to explain how the course had been changed, and some of the course staffing history. His version of the tale reflected turbulence between management and course staff, and how dire the course had become. Some of the reviews on Google from years prior certainly endorsed his perspective. What we found was a course that was in good condition that was reflective of those dedicated to improving whatever poor conditions previously existed.…

Played the course on August 6th. The course is in very bad shape. There is more winter kill than grass. I feel very bad for them. This will take years and a lot of money to repair. It doesn't appear there is any effort to start the process. Very nice new club house and friendly staff. I would recommend closing the course for a year and put a lot of hard work in it. We will check back in a couple of years.
