In summary

Pinecrest Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability, walkability, and friendly staff, with many golfers enjoying the well-maintained greens and unique layout, particularly the par 66 design with numerous par 3s. The course is considered suitable for beginners and those looking to practice their iron game. However, some visitors have noted issues with drainage leading to swampy conditions, inconsistent tee boxes, and a slow pace of play. Additionally, there are reports of unsatisfactory interactions with staff and concerns about course maintenance.

Golfed with my friends, had a wonderful time. The course itself was in decent condition, the worker at the desk made sure paying & getting a pushcart was easy, and the holes were unique. Some aspects were surprisingly hard, such as the tiny greens and hazards. The only issue is this course only has two tees. Other than that, this course is solid and walkable.

Surprised by the awful reviews I'm reading. I play this course a few times each season and for a short, local course... it's just fine. I've never noticed the play to be any slower than other nearby courses. I've never been treated rudely. It is what is is -- a par 66, short course. Yes, there's lots of casual players and beginners out there (as there should be) so you might wait occasionally. It's not worth a special trip, but I'm glad we have this course in our area.

Surprisingly good. Conditions were good, greens were great at affordable price. Our tee time for foursome in the early morning and the pace was great. Keep up the good work.

The course is in good shape , greens are fast , the rough grass is thick , it was easy to Chunk a shot… had to altered my club selection next couple of holes, Didn’t like hitting from tee box mat’s on the second and seventh .

Good course for beginners and iron practice. Went on a Friday morning in mid September, not too busy for a single player. Fairways were soaked and swampy in some areas but greens were well kept. Will be back before season ends.

Reading the negitive reviews I was a bit wary. Just like most negative things you read online, those people just love to complain about every little thing. We had a great time here. The course is nicely maintained. The greens were great. Definitely will go again.

Good decent greens, but pretty much swamp and wet areas, with serious drainage problems across. This course can't handle any rain. Try next summer

Staff was pleasant and check in was quick - however we walked off at hole 12 after 3.5 hours. Pace of play was treacherous, especially the front 9. Tee boxes were all dirt. Greens were inconsistent. Could be a great executive course, great target practice, but execution is poor. unlikely return.

Starters were extremely disrespectful. After our 9 holes we went to the clubhouse to take a little break, and while going back to start the 10th hole the employees stopped us, and got upset at us even though they waved us. One of them was blatantly lying and although we were being polite to them, that same man was upset, and saying very rude things to us. Whole situation bummed us out, and ruined the fun mood. Course was decent too.

Really disappointing to see what's become of a childhood favorite of mine. Tons of the tee boxes are just dirt and grit, no grass to be found. Hell, one was a driving range matt. Never saw anyone on a cart to offer concessions a single time over my 18 holes. I used to love this course. Very sad. The greens were nice I guess.

Coming from out of state. Said by the starters on the turn going to the back nine, after having lunch, they rudely said that we shouldn't have stopped to eat because they were "busy". They then made us jump a hole or told us to "get the hell out of here" becuase they "didn't want to hear it". After 25 years of golfing experience, I have never had this kind of experience. If a manager is reading, please either add a sign stating one cant go to have lunch after the turn, remove the sign already there stating to go back club house after the turn, or clarify with a different sign with more in dept…

Beautiful facility...would've given 5 stars but everytime I've been here it's been super slammed busy...I guess that's a good thing...speaks highly of the course but I hate multiple people waiting on the tee box...effects my game...great place tho...and super affordable...
