What People Say

In summary

Plattsburg Country Club offers a challenging and scenic golf experience with a mix of elevation changes and interesting course layout, which many find enjoyable and worth the price. The staff is generally praised for their friendliness, and the clubhouse has been recently upgraded, enhancing the dining experience. However, some visitors find the course layout confusing, with cart paths that can be difficult to navigate, and note that certain areas, like tee boxes and fairways, could benefit from improved maintenance.

For country course was not bad for the price. Only real gripe is that if you are not familiar with the course the layout can be very confusing multiple holes where the cart path just ends for 100+ yards and getting to the next tee box can be challenging.

Challenging course. Conditions could be better but the greens are nice. Lots of blind shots. Local knowledge is required to play well. At least the first time out. Cool holes. Lots of hills. It’d be a tough walk. We had a good time. I’d certainly play it again if I were in the area.

Course condition was pretty much what you'd expect for the price, but we had a great time. Course is better than the price, it's a fun challenge and with a little more maintenance budget this place would be really great. We'd definitely play it again if we're back in Northwest Missouri!

Older carts, lots of terrain - doesn’t allow you to see your shots. Likely not headed out there again as it’s a drive. Expected a little more from this course. Hard to follow the course as the path disappeared at times. 2/9 on the front you knew where you were hitting / able to see the flag, hitting blind on most shots. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend having better maps / scorecard maps. Very challenging if you aren’t familiar. Good greens / fairways, tee boxes weren’t too bad.

Tried out the golf course. Tee boxes could be in much better shape. Fairways were good. Greens were in good shape. Had a good experience. Even with a group who played right through without any notice. Recommended.

Course is in pretty rough shape. Granted, it’s March but hitting tee shots from a tee box that is 90% dirt and or sand has little to do with time of year. Another part of this rating is the fact that allowing a group of 8 to go out at one time and slow play across the entire course is pretty unacceptable…even for a $30 round of golf.

A very challenging play you will not soon forget. Full 18 with a nice mix of sprawling fairways, blind tees & some fabulous canyonish par 3's. The terrain of the course is very mixed with many elevation changes to test your skills. Under new ownership, the Clubhouse has been upgraded and expanded the dinner menu. Course maintenance has also improved, I'd still like to see some yardage markers...

It was like navigating a maze, golf cart paths were split in every direction. Almost Everyone golfing were self-centered jerks, with no respect for other golfers. Ladies working inside were very nice and helpful though. Would not recommend for any new golfers.

The building is nicely decorated, clean, food is good, nice servings, the staff is happy and greets people when they arrive and thanks them when leaving. Cost of dinner is $8.00. Can't beat it. Pie is extra and a large serving. Your waitress checks for refills of drinks and if everything was ok. , you will be happy

They need to water more, very hard, tee boxes were so so, fairways has a mixture of grasses, greens where the best part of the whole coarse there in nice shape but there tricky. There is also alot of blind shots FYI.

The workers are nice, green fees are cheap, and they aren't using outdated golf carts anymore. Though, the greens and fairways could be kept better... Especially on a couple of holes. Overall, it's worth the money and a fun, challenging course.

It's a golf course, if you need somewhere to play. The cart parts are confusing, some and maybe most are dangerous. A lot of steep, downhill cart paths. Quite a few of the cart paths make you turn around into the golfers that are behind you, ,hopefully waiting, to hit off of the tee box that you just hit from. Finding Hole 1 is a bit confusing for new patrons, it is sandwiched between Hole 10, Hole 18 and Hole 9. The fairways are like hitting off of paved cart paths, the roughs are definitely rough. The sand hazards are compacted and most don't have rakes. It is very easy to lose your ball, eve…
