Plumas Lake Golf & Country Club

I like this course a great deal, BUT, playing on New Year's Eve after many rainstorms was not enjoyable. Not much grass on the fairways but a lot of mud. Staff is EXCELLENT.

They just got new golf cars, have a store, a restaurant and bar. Parking is very easy and convenient. Prices are fair. Staff are SUPER friendly. It’s always a good experience when we go. We appreciate the staff, good food, and bar! Very clean restrooms are always an added bonus

Played 18 holes at Plumas today. 3/25/26. Cost $37 to walk in the afternoon. At that price very disappointed. Every fridge was brown and sanded. Greens incredibly slow. The current management group that took over a few years ago and ruined the course. Probably my last round there.

Don’t waste your time and money on this course, course is sub par at best and customer service is a truly lost art form here. Sprinklers were on during the entire round of golf in the middle of the afternoon; called the pro shop and asked if the sprinklers typically run 24/7 and response was “basically yes” (this has never been my experience before), I said I thought that was interesting because my landscaper tells me daytime watering scorches the grass. Brought my son for his first time golfing and he had a great time practicing driving, enjoying riding a cart to view course and seeing others. People at the driving range and pro-shop made it alot of fun too chatting and enouraging him. We also got the excitement of "FOUR!!" and a ball plopping nearby. Was a perfect cool Spring Day and course in terrific inviting condition to enjoy! Thanks for a Great first day!!

Great golf course, they have put a lot of work into the greens and fairways this year. The bar/grill is nice and well priced and the members of the staff are awesome! (shout out to Cody!!) Prices to golf are fair, wish they had deals on some of the golf apps to help lower the cost but still a great place to play!!

I have been golfing at Plumas Lake GC for over four years. Lately, the course had fallen into disrepair. Recently, a new course management company took over. Thank you!! The rough has been mowed, trees trimmed, sprinklers turned on, and the greens are in very good shape. I like the course because it is remote and away from city noise. There is enough to make it a challenge with trees, water, and a few hills. Overall, I like the course and highly recommend it. Also, after the round, I had a chicken wrap with a beer, and they were terrific.

I love the layout. The fairways were really muddy and not much grass on them. The personnel were extremely custom friendly.

This place is like a second home. The staff are like family and is probably one of the greatest hidden gems golf course courses in the entire area. Is ran by a family who cares about people and experiences and I appreciate this place with all my heart.

Love the course, great place to play with friends/coworkers.. Only problem is when you book the initial tee slot.. you dont have control over who goes in the cart your paying for. Most the time I enjoy having my wife/son ride with and watch. But they expect you to keep that spot open for another player. Im sorry, if im paying 64 dollars I will decide who sits next to me. This is the only public course in our area now since Mallard and Southridge are gone. Unless Peach Tree goes public you guys need to accomidate to the players needs who pay first, and upfront. Pace of play was a bit slow, and as is the case with winter golf, the fairways and rough were pretty indistinguishable. Course was challenging, with plenty of risk/reward holes. And ball hunting in the weeds was superb!! Found 75 balls! I would love to return in the summer and play the course again.

I think it’s a great course, staff is friendly, and the layout is solid. But one of the most soul-draining aspects of playing here is the men’s groups. They come out like a retirement home field trip—five to a group, waddling through the course three times a week like it’s a sponsored sleepwalk. Get stuck behind them and congratulations, your quick round just turned into an existential crisis. You’ll spend so much time waiting on tee boxes you might start questioning your life choices—or contemplating joining them out of sheer spite.
