In summary

Turkey Creek Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and picturesque setting filled with wildlife. The staff receives high marks for their friendliness and the club offers good value, especially with twilight deals. However, some visitors have noted occasional issues with course conditions, such as hard fairways and poor tee boxes, as well as a slow pace of play during peak times.

After a disappointing experience at Lincoln Hills, Turkey Creek provided a much needed respite of overpriced golf on a crowded course. It's natural beauty coupled with a challenging layout made for an amazing round. Twilight golf was only $36 and I was able to make it through all 18 (barely) despite Teeing off after 3. The course is well maintained and you generally see at least one group of deer as you play. It is a better value than other courses in the area, more challenging, and is better officiated as well.

My grandson takes lessons here, so I came along one day to watch. I was very impressed with the beauty of the course. The restaurant was excellent (best fries of my life) and all the employees were courteous and friendly. This club makes me want to take up golf again.

Great course! Love the layout out. Love the elevation changes and fast greens. Will definitely come back again.

Course is well conditioned for this time of year. They had the greens punched today which resulted in sandy/bumpy putts (definitely effects score). They keep OB dead and short, very clean. Makes the fairways & greens pop. OB shots are easier to recover with how well they maintain. Great public course & will return.

Turkey Creek GC has the both the challenges of The Ridge GC in Auburn and the forgiveness of Plumas Lake GC. Each hole was picturesque and unique. Lowest cost around and great snackbar and staff. It is my new home course.

Original Review (5 stars) - 7/4/19: Course is beautiful. What a layout by Brad Bell! Played on July 4th so it was empty, pace of play was awesome. The 16th is arguably the most beautiful par 5 I've ever played. Put Turkey Creek on your list of must plays! Update (3 stars) - 2/26/22: Course is in rough condition. Fairways are rock hard and appear to have not seen water for months. Grass is patchy, short, and totally dormant. Tee boxes are a mess, mostly dirt with a little grass in places. Greens are ok, but other than that, it's a cow pasture. I've been playing The Ridge and Alta Sierra the la…

Kind of spread out. Lots of travel between the greens and the next tee box. A lot of ground under repair. Tee boxes in poor condition. Very scenic.

Very friendly staff. The course was in great shape. Soft yet fast greens. They had a marshall, but it was a Sunday, so it was a slower round.

Nice golf course, with challenging unique holes for any golfer. 18th hole has to be one of the most unique holes in the northern Central Valley. Club house is identical to Teal Bend gc.

Very nice course, 1st time playing here, loved the course!! Greens are awesome and fairways are wide enough to make birdies and pars!! Astedicly, well maintained with creeks, lakes and natural landscape! I will be back!!

Nice course, greens are in ok shape. Cheap decent food. Do not go off the fairway, you will pay dearly :) Some tough water hazards including finishing hole. Definitely will be back. Twilight deals of $20-30 make it a fair deal. Not worth more than $40.
