In summary

Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club is highly praised for its beautiful grounds, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for relaxation and family stays. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, various amenities like putting courses and s'mores, and the quality dining options available on-site. While most experiences are positive, a few visitors mention minor issues such as uncomfortable beds and navigation difficulties, but these do not significantly detract from the overall satisfaction.

My wife and I started lodging here about 3-4 years ago and fell in love with the location. We've received exemplary service at every level and truly enjoy the amenities available to the guests. We now feel like family and planned our stays for 2026 for celebration and relaxation. It's no surprise that The Quail Lodge has been voted Number-1 in the industry. I want to especially recognize Melissa, and the other young ladies that manage the front desk. I applaud all the hard working staff that take care of the property, restaurant, housekeeping, and overall maintenance. We live in Penryn,CA…

I think the Quail is a hidden gem, for the same price the Quail is much better quality than other hotels in Carmel town. It's a Perfect place to unwind and relax. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfast next to the pond and water fountain is very relaxing, The grounds are super nice to walk around. Will go back

Check-in was welcoming and friendly. Personally, I've wanted to stay here for a couple of years, and on my birthday this year, we made it happen for a couple of days. I was (upgraded) as a birthday gift to the pavilion king with a box of Chocolate and wine, which was sweet. The bathtub was beautifully placed but definitely for a single person only it is not spacious. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The first night was so bad that the morning after, we had such a stiff back we had to get KT tape, which helped the next couple of days. The room was mediocre; there really is nothing special a…

We absolutely loved our stay at the Quail Lodge. The proximity to the golf course and view from our room was beautiful. We liked that the grounds were flat, well manicured and easily walkable - seems perfect for people of all ages, families with strollers etc. Highly recommend!

I love the quail. If I could live here I would. The rooms are nice, they have putting greens, amazing bar and restaurant. If you like to golf you will enjoy the views. Thank you always for an amazing time.

My wife and I loved staying here. Beautiful rooms, nicely maintained property and very kind staff. Only two things I would recommend: turn up the pool temp a bit (it’s borderline too cold to swim in 65° weather) and make the google/apple pins clearer as to what Quail pin is the hotel, the golf course, and any other important pins. Navigated to the wrong location multiple times. Small details - loved our stay.

My family had the privilege of staying at the Quail Lodge this summer. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are all welcoming and professional and the rooms are comfortable. We were fortunate to stay in the villa suite which consisted of two bedrooms, two full baths, one half bath, a separate living area and private patios. It was hands down the best suite we have stayed in when in Carmel. It was spacious, the beds were comfortable and the partial kitchen was a nice touch. Having access to a microwave, refrigerator and ice machine in our living area was quite nice. My boys enjoyed the nightly…

Stellar place if you’re in Carmel on a somewhat budget. Two queen beds were both extremely comfy, bath towels were large, pool was warm and clean, grounds were well kept. Definitely recommend for couples or friends traveling!

This has to be one of the most dog friendly hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Our little fur baby loved every minute. The restaurant Covey’s Grill served high quality dishes and the services were top notch. All the staffs were super friendly. We look forward to going back to the Quail Lodge for our annual road trip. Thank you Quail Lodge for making our stay memorable!
