In summary

Reading Country Club is praised for its historic charm, well-maintained course, and welcoming staff, making it a popular venue for both golf and events. The course layout is appreciated for its challenge and scenic views, while the restaurant and amenities like Jack's On The Green enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors have noted occasional issues with course conditions, such as fairway maintenance and bunker quality, suggesting room for improvement.

Wow! I work for the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance and we hosted our Women2Women/Breakfast4success event here. The space comfortably held at least 120 people. The food was delightful! The compote that they brought out for the French toast wasn’t too sweet. It was just absolutely perfect. They also went above and beyond and were shuttling our guests from the far reaches of the parking lot over to the door so they wouldn't get too cold. Staff was super helpful.

Reading Country Club is a beautiful spot with a well-maintained course. The front nine holes can be pretty challenging—especially for beginners like me—but that makes them a fun test of skill. I especially enjoy playing from the ninth hole to the 18th, where the course feels a bit more forgiving, and the views at sunset are stunning. Beyond the course, the restaurant and bar are excellent. The food and drinks are delicious, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It really adds to the overall experience. I’d recommend Reading Country Club for golfers looking for a challenge and those who w…

I was the organizer for our department Holiday Lunch (Penske - Risk). After touring the facility and being treated to a very nice lunch, I decided that Reading Country Club would be our venue this year. That was a great decision. The venue was beautiful, the staff was wonderful, the food was delicious! Everyone had a wonderful time and I looked like a rock star. Kayla helped me with all of the details and she was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them for your next event.

Classic golf course and facility. 2025 improvements underway and very promising. Renovated pub and restaurant "Jack's On The Green" is fantastic for post round lunch. New and increased staffing is very noticeable and significantly adds to a great golfer experience. My group of 20 thoroughly enjoyed our day and will return asap.

Storied, old, and historic, recently saved from doom, Reading Country Club has unmatched facilities and a classic design that is challenging, but reachable. First, the facilities are a gem, in a 100 year old large mansion of a building, with a fancy restaurant, large bar, and simulator room with: 2 bays, a pool table, and a foosball table. 😃 Also offering locker room, quick stop counter at the turn, pro shop, cart girl (saw her twice on the course) and garage/caddy shack round out the handsome building adorning the hill top. The course itself has withstood time, but is not one of the “let me b…

Played RCC today. First time in a few years. Nice historic, classic course. Not long by today's standards, but rough was thick and penal and the slopes and elevation changes can be a challenge. Fairways were in decent shape for August and played hard and fast. Greens were in really good shape, but not as fast as I remember. Guy in the clubhouse and lady in the snack bar were super nice. Fairly priced, worth playing!

I must say, that our 35 women from our community certainly enjoyed themselves... the service, the food, the atmosphere, and all the planning was well-worth it for a lovely, perfect afternoon. We will be back in June. Thanks so much to Kayla Cepeda for spearheading it all for us! Personally, I was there last week on a business meeting. Two of us had the beet salad and two had the NE clam chowder. Excellent choices/highly recommended. Try it yourself!

Course was amazing. Some recent big renovations on the course have made some very nice improvements...money well spent. Course has character and is challenging. Great venue for an outing. Jack's pub is quite cozy and food was great.

Great country club. The staff were great and the food was freshly made. They have some interesting greens and it’s like an adventure more than a regular boring course that I have seen in other areas. This is definitely worth the try.

Played here on Father's day, I really enjoyed the course. (I wouldn't suggest walking it.) There are multiple holes with elevation, and a few other unique holes too. A 3 shot par 5 (unless you can carry 270). A short sharp dogleg left. The greens were rolling very smooth, not too fast, it's a nice course.
