In summary
The Renaissance Vinoy Resort is frequently praised for its luxurious ambiance, attentive staff, and prime location in downtown St. Petersburg, offering easy access to local attractions. Guests often highlight the exceptional service at the spa and the quality of the dining options, particularly at Elliott Aster. However, some visitors have noted inconsistencies in service, particularly at the front desk and poolside, as well as issues with housekeeping and room amenities. Additionally, the property may pose challenges for those with mobility issues due to its layout.

The Vinoy is exceptional. We traveled as a couple and loved everything from the stunning pool and pool bar to the effortless luxury throughout the property. The lobby is so enchanting with the florals to the rich history on the mezzanine level. Every food & beverage outlet was excellent, with Elliot Aster standing out , we loved it so much we ate there three times! The staff truly understands hospitality: warm, attentive, and knowledgeable at every turn. Plus, the walkability of downtown St. Petersburg made the stay even better. An iconic hotel that lives up to the hype — we can’t wait to ret…

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Vinoy Spa. From the moment I arrived, everyone was kind, welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. The spa itself is absolutely beautiful and incredibly relaxing—exactly what you hope for in a luxury spa experience. Christine, in particular, made my experience truly unforgettable. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions and really listen. When she learned that I had recently lost my home in a hurricane, she went above and beyond to make sure I felt cared for, supported, and completely at ease. Her kindness, compassion, and professionali…

Very nice hotel in great position with an old world feel - we didn’t try the restaurants but did have in room dining which was decent . Also used the hotel e-bikes which was a great way to look around . Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size and had comfortable beds. One of the drawbacks in the room was the inability to open any windows and despite having good air con it made the room stuffy and hot when we arrived back to the room after an excursion.

Suzanne (Susan) is truly an asset to your hotel! From the moment we arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and cheerful - such a pleasure to interact with. Her customer service is outstanding. When we had a small issue, she didn't brush it off or pass it along; she immediately made calls and took care of everything for us. She's a real credit to your team! Also, Our room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and plenty of soft, fluffy pillows that made for an excellent night's sleep. We especially loved the balcony - and the fact that so many rooms have them! The water views were absolutely stunning…

I just returned from a stay at the Vinoy and I have very mixed opinions. I was going back and forth between the Vinoy and Don Cesar but based on location, the Vinoy won. I was there for two nights, checked in on Sunday afternoon. I was a little surprised that no one was there to help with my bags but wasn’t a big deal since I only had a carry-on. I went to the front desk and there was one young man there (Gavin) helping a woman. He was smiling, showing her the map of the hotel, providing dinner recommendations, the works. When he was finally done, I stepped up and his whole demeanor changed, a…

Just got back from our stay at The Vinoy. Excellent choice if you're looking for a premium quality hotel in St. Pete. It's a beautiful property and it's located perfectly. Absolutely the nicest area in St. Pete. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Housekeeping was only okay. Had some issues about replacing towels etc as well as restocking the coffee supplies but otherwise it was fine. Had an issue with our toilet that never did get fixed and I would get rid of the metallic tubes of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. They are much less convenient to use than plastic or glass bottles. Ev…

This hotel was magical. The flower arrangement in the lobby was gorgeous, my room was big, the bed was comfy, and the restaurant, Elliott Aster, was great. The voucher for two drinks upon check-in was appreciated. I also loved that they give guests five post cards to send to friends and family. They mailed them out for me too. Very cute idea. Absolutely iconic property. I really enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to go back.

This hotel is simply amazing. I loved every part of it. All of the associates were amazing. From Galvin at check in, Daniel at the pool and another young lady at the front desk (she is Asian and moved here about 3 years ago) and the room attendant, Bridget. I loved the water stations provided at every floor. I had one of the best birthdays and this place is just my happy place.

Those who choose to stay in the Vinoy should understand this is an experience, not a typical manufactured luxury stay. The structure is 100 years old, and hence the rooms have aspects of historical construction. However, it has been beautifully updated while maintaining many of the original design surfaces. Its perfect. The staff is very accommodating and has gone above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for us. Thank you.

Stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were very clean. A little small but I think that’s to be expected in a boutique hotel. The staff was all very friendly. Coffee was delicious. Housekeeping was kind and accommodating. We asked for the AC to be dropped a little more that normal and they were able to do it with no problems. Had packages delivered there without fail. Boutique store inside is super cute. Room service was good. Would entirely stay there again. If you’re looking to stay in this area this is a great hotel!

Not worth the expense. You have to walk way too far to get to rooms. $45/day parking fee is a joke. Bathrooms are worn (wish I took pics), broken seals on shower door, mold on seals, horrible water pressure. Room 266 btw. Room is ok. Beautiful lobby but you walk through that. Spend some money on where it matters, the rooms and bathrooms.

The Vinoy definitely knows how to host an epic event. I was here for a huge wedding, the wedding was amazing. The hotel and the facilities were nice, the pool, tennis courts, gym, garden and all the other amenities. This hotel was very nice. My room specifically was just alright I wouldn't say it was that great and my door was misaligned so dealing with that for five days was very annoying. Having to basically throw my shoulder into the door everytime I needed to open it got old fast. Overall the hotel was nice though, the rooms were definitely the weak point.
