In summary

Riverview Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course conditions, diverse and challenging layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. Many appreciate the picturesque and varied back nine, as well as the reasonable pricing and welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have experienced issues with management interactions and occasional delays due to double bookings or slow pace of play.

I love this course. The owners are wonderful people and the course play is great. I've never been a member of a course before until this year, and this is the course I picked. The back nine holes are all so different, it feels like you are playing a different course on every hole. Love the layout. They course condition can vary during the year depending on rain but that true for almost every course. Drainage is good and almost all the bunkers have really nice sand. Overall, this course is a great place to play and I highly recommend it for everyone from new players to veterans. Just be mindful…

Riverview is a true hidden gem. Family-owned and run by Michael and his family, the hospitality here sets it apart from most courses I’ve played around Toronto. The greens are well-designed and challenging, the conditions excellent, and even the sandwiches at the turn were memorable. It’s rare to find this level of small-town warmth paired with such quality at a great price point. Riverview won’t disappoint—book a tee time and see why it’s worth the visit.

The staff are very friendly. You can tell the front 9 was once (many years ago) a field. Very flat, but with enough trees and water to make it interesting. The back 9 is very picturesque and hilly. In between the front and back 9 is a bbq with big juicy sausages, and THE best sandwiches (normally egg or tuna) I have had anywhere. Not best for a golf course, but the best. Big, fresh, and seems like more filling than bread. Delicious! Always fun to play there.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Hole 6 there is a goose that has it in for humans, attacked us for the last 3 holes and ruined our round. Told owner, he knew about it and didn't care. If I was you Mr Owner I would ask yourself, how much is this bird worth??? One round? Two rounds? A season of rounds? Because you've lost our future money. Food for thought

Beautiful course, manicured fairways and greens. 4 stars because they double booked our 8:30 tee off, which resulted in a 10 minute delay in the morning. Otherwise, I'd recommend this course.

Great variety of shots. Fun course to play, fairways and greens are in good shape. Owners are very friendly and welcoming! Had a great time playing 18 today.

One of the better local courses. The course is kept in above average conditions compared to others. Greens are spongy and well kept, sand traps are not rock hard and actually play like a bunker should. Their staff is very nice and most importantly, they understand the importance of cash money and except it! That’s a win for me.

Great layout! the front nine is basically a series of back and forth fairways but there are enough trees, water hazards and bends to create challenges and interests. the back nine is quite different with somewhat shorter holes ( the front begins with two par fives and a long par 4) but more obstacles to overcome and planning required to match your own skills. my only negative is that the greens although well kept are definitely slower and therefore the breaks are not as extreme as you might read. I have enjoyed this course for over 35 years!

Very decent golf course in the Niagara region, very two different 9 hole layouts on this course! Back 9 has always been picturesque, more challenging play and difficult holes, front 9 is nice and open and a little more lengthy! Course conditions are okay, tee boxes are okay but could use a little more TLC! Nothing perfect but very playable course, greens are nice but a little small, fairways are wide open but not the best maintained, not to many hazards as well! 4 star course forsure, price is very reasonable, very friendly staff!

Unfortunately had a an issue as the owner lost his mind. We paid for 4 of us using 2 carts and we were held back as the groups in front of us were slow. Once we started the back 9 we were more open and not held back. On the 18 hole the ranger came and told us that they ran out of carts and needed ours. I understood and we finished the last hole, dropped off our stuff and returned our carts. The owner showed up and told me that we were no longer welcome there. Made no sense to me and have no idea why when we left that he was swearing and giving is the finger - very weird as I have played this c…

A great course ,wide open in some spots ,tight in others. Very tough to find balls both on and off the fairway. But the back 9 is the real deal. Hills ,hills hills. Its not a bad thing at all the challenge is fun. The pace is a bit fast as they pack you in there but overall great place for golf .

First time visit in March - I bet it's even better in the summer. The front nine is flat and long. There are a lot of dog legs and some challenging water hazards and bunkers. The back nine by the river is beautiful even in March. Lots of elevation changes and hazards. Hole 18 is uphill. If you're stuck below on the riverbank, grab your 9 iron or wedge and pray. Overall it is a fun and challenging course.
