In summary

Riverwood National Golf Course receives mixed reviews, with many praising its challenging layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with course maintenance, particularly the condition of certain fairways and tee boxes, as well as the service in the dining area. Additionally, some guests report issues with pricing and occasional slow service.

Absolute goat track and waste of time/money. The fact they charge $60 a round to walk when the course is in this poor of condition should be considered highway robbery. Only fairways and tee boxes are pictured, and they’re worse than they look in the pictures (if you can imagine). Fairways must have been “mowed” by somebody with a push mower, and forget trying to up and down from just off the green - you’ll have 9 layers of lawn clippings between your wedge and the ball. Every “fairway” on the front 9 should have been considered ground under repair - it’s obvious the course staff have zero clu…

While the food is great the service is very poor. 2nd time we have gone to eat dinner. This time we got seated and after 20 minutes of no one ever coming to our table to get us drinks or bring menu we walked out. Waitstaff was standing around talking to each other and 1 even pointed at us so we thought they had acknowledged us. Sorry but we won't be back. Worst service experience I've ever had anywhere. You deserve 0 stars.

The grounds crew did an incredible job this 2021 season in tough drought conditions throughout much of the summer. Greens were always pure. They opened early in Spring and until early November. Front 9 is challenging but a fun track. Back is a bit more forgiving and an absolute delight to play. My favorites are hole 12 (an elevated par 3 over water) and hole 13 (dogleg right par 4 with heavy tree cover on both sides). Quaint. Lovely.

We play bingo there on Wednesday night most every week. There are a few Wednesdays they don't have bingo. It's a fun evening, win or lose.

Solid track. I don’t appreciate members/people who live on the course randomly jumping in front of my group, making us wait. If this is the norm here I wouldn’t want to come back.

Course is in great shape. The greens are super fast and true. The beverage cart was only out in the morning so maybe ask in the club house. They did not warn us that she was leaving. We also had good service inside. When we moved to the patio the service was a little shaky at best. Expect it to be a little pricey but is a fun course that is in great shape.

You'd think for $42 for 9 holes it would be better maintained... The holes are challenging and designed tough but they have plenty of hazards without the fact they don't maintain the edges on narrow fairways. Just seems odd you could charge $42 for 9 holes and have hardly anything to mow.

i’d leave 0 stars if i could. my brother went to riverwood and right off the bat the main guy in the pro shop was an absolute jerk to him and his friends. they all are about 18-19 years old and they came in ready to play and he forgot his clubs in my car (i wasn’t home at the time) so he was gonna use his friends, and they made him pay 40$ to rent clubs and said “we don’t do that here you need your own clubs” - like seriously?? and then the main guy made them show there drivers license for driving the cart and he is a MEMBER and got treated like crap. your really gonna treat your members like…

Absolutely disgusted by the pro shop staff. Andy (man who works in the pro shop) ran out to our family at dinner, accusing one of our kids of being on the course. When we said no, he then asked our children if it was their sibling like we were lying. He proceeded to run out on the course and yell at a little girl who was standing on the edge of the green near where the golf carts were parked, very clearly out golfing with her dad. Disrespectful. This is a family sport. We have had so many poor encounter with this man, disgrace to a beautiful course. Love the owner, but this was beyond disappoi…

Update: tried again January 2025 and they have updated/upgraded the menu! Ordered the chicken salad sandwich special and it was delicious. Leaving this at 3 stars since the service was not good. We waited 20+minutes before being asked for a drink order. My friend's drink came out AFTER her food and she had to ask for it. We were never asked if we wanted a second drink, just got the bill. I feel like this place is losing out on a lot of opportunity. Original post: The menu could use an overhaul, it has a dive bar feel at a golf course. Atmosphere is blah and there's a door right by the tables…
