In summary

Elk River Country Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly, professional staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque setting and the course's unique design, which includes small, fast greens and varied elevation changes. However, some guests have noted issues with dry fairways, occasional slow pace of play, and inconsistent course conditions, which may detract from the overall experience.

The course had a good layout with low elevation. The only downside was the fairways, which were fairly dry. The greens were in good condition. The clubhouse was better than average.

Beautiful course, challenging especially when you hadn't played it before. Some holes a little over the top but overall a great place. Staff was friendly, very nice putting green and driving range.

Wind was 20 mph so take that into consideration on this review. Greens lightning fast and putted true. Small greens almost all elevated with false fronts...very difficult. Early spring with tons of rain so many parts were very soggy. Absolutely beautiful course with many elevation changes. Played here in a MGA tournament.

One of my favorite golf courses. The landscaping and the way the arborists care for the trees are incredible. I’ve rarely seen such resplendent golf-course views. To give you an example of how well thought-out and masterful the holes are, the photo below is the 18th hole as the sun is setting *due* west. This is a magnificent display. That is perfect composition. Well done! Bravo for an amazing course design.

Course is in great shape. The best I've played this year.

I’m from Las Vegas. Playing this course was a treat with my brother in law and his wife. Greens were in spectacular shape. Classic raised green with sharp drop off if you miss short. Weather in early September was 30 degrees cooler than the desert tracks I usually play. I will definitely be back!

Amazing staff, very helpful and customer oriented. Demo day was insightful and tempting. I have played a few rounds here and for the most part play was uninterrupted. Fairways can be spotty, but this isn't Pebble Beach. Prices are fair with local market.

One of the finest 18 hole ⛳ courses in the NW Metro. The bridge on Hike 3 to 4 is very quaint. There is a driving range on the West side. The clubhouse is newly remodeled. Fun course for a reasonable price 🙏👎👍

Don’t go to Kathy Swanson for golf instruction. She emailed me asking to move the appointment I said yes what other days work I just need early AM. She has since canceled the appointment without reaching out to reschedule. Very unprofessional of her on the way she handled the process.

First time playing and was thoroughly impressed with the course. Greens were very fast but true. 22’ has been a very dry year thus far. Was good pace of play til the last hole. A couple of junior golfers jumped in front of me and backed up three groups. I was a junior golfer once, so it’s a learning experience of when and where you can hop around. Overall very enjoyable.
