In summary

Rockwood Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained conditions, challenging yet enjoyable layout, and friendly staff, with recent renovations enhancing its appeal. The course offers a balance of affordability and quality, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. However, some visitors have experienced issues with slow pace of play and inconsistent customer service, particularly regarding tee time management and staff communication.

Played yesterday for the first time at Rockwood… After reading the previous reviews I was a little concerned, they were saying that the staff was extremely rude in that the condition of the course was pretty rough… I actually found it to be completely. The opposite for staff was very helpful and friendly and the course was in excellent shape… A few minor issues on the edge of a green or two, but that was all. This is a jam of a course built in 1938 and it still has some of the original bridges and tables Which is extremely cool. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot. I don’t think you’…

Great course. Challenging but not unforgiving, you can find your ball if you dont hit into the water. Very affordable!

This golf course is very nice overall, but the holes are close to each other, which can feel a bit unsafe. My ball (a Titleist Pro V1 with a blue line drawn on it) was sitting in front of another hole’s green. I checked it carefully and then hit it. After that, a very emotional player approached me aggressively, insisting that he saw his friend’s ball roll there and that the ball I hit belonged to his friend. He began yelling and using extremely offensive language toward me. I calmly picked up my ball and showed it to him right in front of his eyes, explaining that it was mine. Despite that,…

played yesterday and at the end of the day the marshal was extremely rude in trying to run us off the course. Still had daylight left and other people still on the course. He went to club house to bring other staff with him, accused me of cursing him and said I only paid for 9 holes. I have actually seen him do this before to someone else but thought that may have just been a mishap. I did in fact pay for 18 holes, and ended up in a heated argument with him, It was just my wife and I and every time I said "ok" to end the argument and leave, he would start mouthing off again. This guy was a mid…

I worked with Brandon to host our baby shower and the process was very easy and affordable. The banquet room was very big and catering was awesome. My husband golfed as well and really enjoyed the course. Absolutely recommend for any event.

Course was in great condition for mid summer. The lady's in the pro shop were great. The first tee was a little backed up for a Wednesday at 3pm which made a slower round overall. Both times I've played here the temp was over 100. Miserably hot😳😳. I am looking forward to playing this course in the fall. The renovations they put in this course are wonderful. Highly recommend play at the new Rockwood Golf Course. Can't wait to be back.

Course was in great shape, but pace of play was extremely slow with no one seeming to care about pace etiquette. Also the pricing they show on their website is very misleading. They show a $30 rate online for seniors but charged me $57 when I got there. When I asked about they said that the rate online did not include cart fee, which was $18 per person. $36 dollar cart fee is ridiculous, but if you are going to charge that much, put it on your webpage.

Glad to see this course in really nice shape. Fairways carpet, greens in really good condition just a tad slow, bunkers were playable not bad at all just maybe a better job of golfers raking after use. Price, it was on Columbus day so maybe the price was holiday fees. I thought compared to Arlington and Dallas muni's, a little high.

The only reason I am rating a 3 and not 4 was because of the pace of play and the poor customer service from the pro-shop and the restaurant. It took 5 hours to finish the round. There was no starter or marshal to regulate play. The course is nice for a public course, just a shame the staff didn't care about anything. Definitely not playing there again.

Beautiful golf course opened 1938 , as an ancillary facility There is a Ben Hogan learning center On the outer wall of the learning center building, the nine commandments that golfers must obey were engraved on stones, and I felt sympathy, and the contents are as follows 1.Honesty 2.Integrity 3.Sportsmanship 4.Respect 5.Confidence 6. Responsibility 7.Perseverance 8.Courtesy 9.Judgement
