In summary

The Golf Club of Fossil Creek is praised for its scenic layout, well-maintained fairways, and friendly staff, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of various skill levels. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens, outdated golf carts, and certain policies regarding cart usage, which have affected their overall experience. While many appreciate the course's design and atmosphere, others feel the high fees do not align with the quality of amenities provided.

Played: Saturday July 5th This course is an absolute gem! The Golf Club at Fossil Creek was in fantastic condition from tee to green. Every hole felt well-maintained and thoughtfully laid out, with lush fairways and and small greens. The layout offers a great mix of challenges and scoring opportunities — each hole has its own character, and the overall design keeps you engaged the entire round. Scenic views and beautifully crafted holes make this course not just fun to play but also great to take in visually. You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping the course in top shape. If you are not a member of ARCIS, you should join just for the discounts to play Fossil Creek. This is a really well maintained course that is also really challenging. The greens are super clean and the mid-way snack shack is top notch. I haven't had the chance to eat in the club house yet, but it looks awesome. The food and beverage staff are attentive and the guys in the pro shop are polite and professional. Pay attention to the obstacles and yardages. If you don't think through some of your shots, this course will humble you quick.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience at your course. During my visit, my significant other was not allowed to ride along in the cart with me, and I was also informed there was no option to pay an additional cart fee to accommodate this. This was both surprising and disappointing, as most courses offer a simple rider-fee solution to ensure guests can enjoy the experience together. The policy and the way it was communicated reflect a management approach that feels inflexible and not aligned with customer expectations. I truly enjoy supporting well-run golf facilities,…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Club at Fossil Creek is an outstanding golf facility that always delivers a great experience. The course is well maintained, challenging but fair, and enjoyable for a wide range of skill levels. The layout keeps things interesting from tee to green, and the conditions are consistently solid, which really shows the pride they take in the property. The staff is friendly, professional, and welcoming—from check-in to the clubhouse—making everything smooth and enjoyable. The overall atmosphere is relaxed but polished, whether you’re out for a serious round or just enjoying time on t…

The greens were mostly flattened, rolled mud with about 5% winter grass. The tees were COVERED with divots and very sandy. No ball washer to be seen. Traps were wet and crusty. I've marveled at the course in the past, a classy top notch course, very challenging, awesome layout. Now it's pretty pitiful and I paid $50 bucks, I thought about a refund, but naw. I wont come back.

Probably one of the best public courses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Very scenic. Both the fairway and greens are in excellent conditions!

I recently had an appointment at Fossil Creek Golf Club and was disappointed by the noticeable lack of leadership and organization throughout the facility. Operations felt unstructured, communication was unclear, and overall execution did not reflect the standard expected of a quality golf venue. With stronger on-site leadership and improved operational discipline, the experience could be significantly elevated.

Always enjoy playing this track and the layout is great. Makes you hit different shots off the tee. Greens were punched not too long ago but nice. Had early tee time and pace of play was good. Definitely be back

Course was in decent shape. Greens were punched prior to us playing so they didn’t roll great as you would expect. Driving range was ok. We played as a 3 some and they forced our 3rd to ride with the single we were paired with. And they had plenty of carts so I really disliked that policy. It would keep me from going back unless I had a full group of four or just 2.

Typically this has been one of my favorite courses but not today. I can understand one or two greens to be under par but you have 16+ greens that have little to no grass and in some areas mud looking turf is unacceptable.
