In summary

Willow Springs Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and suitability for beginners, offering a straightforward layout with some challenging greens. However, the course conditions, particularly the fairways and cart paths, receive mixed reviews, with some noting issues like hard greens and slow pace of play. While it may not be the most well-maintained course, it provides a decent golfing experience for those looking for a budget-friendly option.

Enjoyed the course. I played it after a few rainy days which added another challenge which i enjoyed. The staff was friendly. Tho the grill was....more to be desired. As for the course i gave it 4 stars as it was decent for the price. There were a couple fairways that were 90% dirt. (Apparently their irrigation system went out during the 100°+ stretch we had and the grass burnt.) And a couple fairways were bumpier then 35 during construction. The greens and few fairways that were ready were decently kept. I think they need a couple more pieces of equipment to help mow better lines along the f…

This is not a bad course if you are a little cost conscious. The greens are in pretty good shape and actually fairly difficult because of some elevation changes. The fairways are in really poor shape but if I had to choose between nice greens or nice fairways, I would choose nice greens. Overall, I'm happy with the course because if the twilight discounts you can get. I think it was 20 dollars for a round of 18 and a cart. You'll pay almost that at some driving range for a large bucket of balls. I think this course deserves more than a 3 star rating but not quite a four. If they were able to w…

I have played at Willow Springs for many years. I have a physical handicap but still play the best I can. I buy some range ball tokens ahead of time and keep them in my car so it's easier to go straight to the driving range and skip the clubhouse trip. This a.m. (9/10/2014) I found out they had changed the tokens and mine did not work. At the clubhouse I was told there was NO refund or exchange on the old tokens per the owner even though the older tokens had been paid for. They had changed the token system one week earlier and now the older tokens were worthless, even tho they had been bought.…

Great coarse for the price. It's around the corner from my house and isn't that crowded during the week. Willow will not wow you with challenging holes, it's great for beginners like myself. Reading some of these other reviews made me feel like I was having a stroke. What do you expect for 20-30 bucks?

played once last year, played again on 6/18. course condition has not improved. the greens are very thin and hard, will not hold a shot onto the green. the tall rough prevents one from finding an errant ball which prevents one from establishing a true score. if you cant find it, you cant hit it. the cart path on the back nine is so bad, I only played three holes. it was just as bad last year when I played. the practice greens and the driving range are in good condition.

This is a great place to start your journey with the great sport of golfing. The course is fast and the shots are fairly easy with a good blend of par 3, 4 and 5 holes.

Cheap cost to play. Firmest most compacted greens in Tarrant county. Never seen wedge shots bounce so high and far off any other greens in all my time in DFW. Fairways are so baked out that the ground is cracking in places. #18 fairway is mostly bare dirt. The biggest issue though is pace of play. Even during off hours on hot days, the pace is insanely slow. I do not know how that is. I've heard WS is 5+ hrs round on real busy nice weather days. It's odd given most holes are wide open. The cart back ups on each hole with a half full parking lot was quite perplexing. There's no reasonable expla…

I play golf around the DFW area and this has to be one of the WORST golf courses I have ever played and if I could give this place zero stars I would. The fairways are not even fairways, it is just all dead grass, which causes the ball to take hops all over the place. Waste of money and time. Do not play here, save your money for a more mediocre course.

Played this course for the first time this evening (10/5/18). I carry a 1.6 but I really enjoy finding these little old courses, brings me back to my childhood. Here are some honest pros and cons for the place. Pros: - Interesting old school layout. Lets you use a variety of clubs off the tee for position. - Friendly staff. Good folks in the pro shop. - Relatively inexpensive. - The summer/winter green idea gives you variety during different seasons. Cons: - The greens. While they look good, they are a strange combination of hard yet slow. I had several well struck short irons/wedges that w…

This may not be the plushest course around, but this family owned golf course makes up for that with the friendliest people. The course is easy but has a few holes that can jump up and ruin your great score.

Worst golf course in all of Texas. Avoid if at all possible. There are far better places to play with MUCH more understanding of what a customer is. The course itself is horrid. Save your money and your time. Avoid at all costs!

Great course for beginners. Maybe a little too easy for more experienced golfers though. Go in the summer or fall when the grass is grown and green.
