In summary

Rooster Run Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, scenic layout, and friendly staff, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors. The course offers a mix of challenging and forgiving holes, with good drainage and fast greens, though some find the proximity to the airport a bit noisy. A few visitors have noted issues with course marshaling and pricing, and there have been isolated complaints about the enforcement of club policies.

Had a blast out here with my brother, dad and brother in law. The course is fun, not challenging, not easy. The fairways are forgiving as I don't play that much. But I definitely want to come back. Clubhouse is relatively small and they have a bar/restaurant for after the round. You can also rent clubs here if you need to (Strata).

I played golf on a course the day after it rained. To protect the grass, carts were only allowed on the concrete paths. This made it a bit challenging to get around, but it was worth it for the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere. The course was quite large, and I enjoyed the challenge of playing on the different holes. Unfortunately, there were a few young people who were making a lot of noise and being disrespectful. This was a bit disruptive, but we tried not to let it ruin our experience. Overall, I had a great time golfing at this course. The scenery was beautiful, the course was…

Absolute gold gem of a golf course! I can’t wait for my next trip north to play there. Greens in great shape, fairways well manicured. Gorgeous course and slick layout!

Rooster Run is my all-time favorite feel good course. Having grown up in Petaluma, this is the course I learned the game on and it still holds a special place for me. The layout is always enjoyable, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff does a great job keeping it in good shape. Whether you’re out for a casual round or looking to sharpen your game, Rooster Run delivers every time. 🐔

Awesome course. Well priced. Drains well, rarely standing water even day after rains. Nice staff, decent deli. Great scenery, relatively open course, room for driver mistakes. Very well maintained. Must play.

A great course for the bogey golfer. No too difficult but has some challenging holes. Fun all the way around. Fairways and 1st cut jn great shape. Starter and clubhouse staff were friendly and hotdogs were tasty.

Nice greens and tees and bunkers. It's flat with a bit of water here and there. Greens are fast . It can get pretty windy here. No houses adjacent only vineyards and a small airport. Very nice grass driving range. Best drainage around. Not a really hard course but it can be if played from the black tees. Just a bit more expensive than some other public courses but worth it.

Easy going driving range and putting green, totally self-service. Large bucket is 80 balls for $15. Interesting to have the small planes fly overhead from the region airstrip across the road!

First time playing at this course, and I was pleasantly surprised. The course was in great shape, there were plenty of challenges including the wind, water, bunkers and air traffic (right next to the Petaluma airport runway). Loved the course, and I'd drive an hour to play there again. I will say the price was higher than I expected. I recommend this place.

Located between vineyards and a small airfield. Back nine through farmland and some trees. Flat course, not much rough. Very fast greens. Back nine more interesting. Good #15 island green (peninsula). Average quality. Just another golf course. That day the course was very soggy, muddy. Cart path only. Golf carts a bit run down. Ok price. Greenfee $54 + a so-called credit card fee of 3%.

Generally a great place to play. Greens are typically quick and subtle, fairways are mostly links style on the back, more resort style on the front, but overall pretty challenging, especially if you're out of position.
