In summary

Rose Park Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, as well as its convenient location near downtown Salt Lake City. Many visitors enjoy the course's relaxed atmosphere and the unique presence of local wildlife, such as foxes. However, some golfers express concerns about the course's condition, particularly the fairways and tee boxes, which can be rough and in need of maintenance. Additionally, issues with course navigation and the occasional presence of mosquitoes have been noted. Despite these challenges, the course remains a popular and affordable option for many.

Paid $18 for 9 holes plus $10 for cart - normally, this would be a fantastic deal but in February, it’s grossly overpriced! No tee box markers, no clear path around the course, balls flying from all different directions due to the layout, and just rough conditions overall. It was 62° in SLC today and while we appreciated being able to get out to play, the city needs to come up with a winter pricing program.

Love this course! It’s an old city course I grew up with. Now, being in my 30s and getting to know some of the groundskeepers and crew, as well as the Golf pro. I can tell they truly care for the course and do their best to maintain it, arriving around 5am before players arrive. It's going to be a tough year for them while following the city's strict water policy, especially with the little snow we got last year! But right now it’s incredible!

Played Saturday 2/28/26. First time playing. Fun little course. Good shape for being winter still. Had some good shots. Staff was very nice. Will definitely play again. Thank you

The staff was awesome. Kid at the pro shop was really cool and Indi in the cafe was really pleasant, they are the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. $57 for 18 with a cart is highway robbery for the conditions of the course. The fairways look like they haven’t been watered in years and the tee boxes have next to no grass on them. The greens weren’t in horrible horrible condition but could certainly use some work. A few signs throughout the course to help guide you to the next tee box would be extremely helpful as well, when you finish on a green, what would appear to be the obvious next tee box i…

I’ve played at over 25 different courses in Utah this year, and this one was by far in the worst condition. Normally you are not punished for being in the fairway but here you are because it did not matter if you landed in the fairway, it was dirt. It felt like we were playing in a pasture. Many of the dirt patches in the fairway felt like hitting off cement. I paid 56$ to play here which is the same cost I pay to play at cedar hills which is actually a golf course that has fairways you can play in.

Rose Park's 9-hole quickie is ideal for evenings—flat and straight, greens basic but true. Park setting adds families nearby. Carts optional for short walk. Shop simple. Sodas cold post-play. $20-25 cheap fun. No waits usually. Easy confidence booster.

Horrible experience, get to the course early to warm up. Get a code for some range balls. No instructions from girl at counter. Start warming up, spend about 45 minutes as others arrive around me. She storms out to scold me for hitting off of the grass? So I begin hitting with a tee from the mats. About 5 minutes later manager gentlemen come to say we can hit off the grass. I asked if he was kidding I couldn’t believe it. I love to the greens and the manager comes to apologize while I’m trying to be left alone at this point. Charging far too much for the service and condition of the course. I…

Fun, fresh air and Affordable golf all close to downtown Salt Lake City. We had a great time playing Rose Park, and played until we could no longer see the ball. The friendly and informative staff made our visit a complete success.

Fair price for the conditions— it’s a playable golf course, but a nice fairway ball often ends up on cement-density dirt lies. The staff is pleasant as well. However, there is significant standing water on the back 9 that is a prime breeding ground for mosquitos. This is especially problematic with the detection of mosquito-vectored St. Louis Encephalitis virus in the area. I wouldn’t recommend going right now, and I think there should be additional warnings posted about the insect issues.

Rose Park golf course has definitely been making some improvements. Over the years. The challenges have been mostly with tall reeds and grasses. They have mowed away most of that so the course is much more accessible. They've added new sand or at least made it so it's a little bit better. The bunkers are still very thin but if you rake them well they play okay. The grass conditions and the late spring have been fairly good, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it works through the summer. One thing to look out for with Rose Park golf course is there are a ton of mosquitoes everywhere. Bring y…

It is a good park with hiking and cycling trails running through it. There's enough parking space but it might get full on the weekend mornings
