In summary

Bonneville Golf Course is praised for its beautiful setting with mountain views, well-maintained fairways, and challenging greens, making it a favorite for many golfers in the Salt Lake City area. The course is appreciated for its affordability and welcoming atmosphere, with a pro shop offering essentials and a simple grill for refreshments. However, some visitors have reported issues with slow pace of play, staff interactions, and occasional disruptions from local youths, which can detract from the overall experience.

Formidable course. Books quickly, 7 days out. Great putting greens. Iron only driving range. Blind shot on 5 to an ungulating green. Careful or you roll in the gunch. 8 and 10 have double greens. Beautiful vista of the Salt Lake Valley. Carts have yardage markers. You may hear the lions roar on 11 as you are on the other side of the street of the zoo. Use the restroom at the end of 10 because you won't have another chance until you tee off of 18. Would have given a 4.5 if available, pace of play is usually slow.

This was a beautiful course coming from Idaho I enjoyed the mountain side play, well maintained. 7:30 am tee time still dark when arriving but they had greens keepers out raking and brooming the dew off the greens. Cafe opening late was my only issue

Bonneville's East Bench spot is unbeatable for city golf—mountain views from every hole make the drive up worth it. Fairways are wide and forgiving, greens roll true without too much speed. It's walkable if you're up for it, and the elevation adds a little challenge. Pro shop has basics like gloves, staff's quick and friendly. Grill does simple sandwiches that hit after nine. $40-50 rates keep it affordable for munis. Pace is steady, even busier days. Played with my dad and we both enjoyed the no-pressure vibe—great for all levels. My SLC staple.

This was probably one of the most challenging courses I've played this year. Most of the layouts are nice, but those greens are no joke. Most of them are tiered with crazy breaks and slopes. Had a few come back right to where I started from. Some good wide open and interesting holes. It kicked my butt but I'm looking towards the next time I play. There were 2 par 3s that were an awesome layout. 18 was a great hole to finish on.

Great golf course. Lots of fun and challenging holes. For the most part, errant shots can be found. One of the better courses in SLC. Great view of the Mtns!

Was told the course was running behind. Did not get called up when it was our tee time. Had to go into to the pro shop and ask if we should tee off and the cashier was terribly rude and said he can’t do everything by himself. We played at quicker than average pace and were constantly harassed by the Marshall and met with swearing and rude behavior. Rude staff. Terribly run course. Will not be returning. Course costs more than other public courses. Save the money and go literally anywhere else.

I love this golf course on any day but today. I went into the pro shop and was checking in for my tee time. The employee told me I didn’t have a tee time but there was one available at the same time. He then tried to charge me double the price. I said no thank you and was leaving the pro shop. He yelled at me as I was walking out saying “good we don’t want your business anyways.” I found this very rude and unprofessional as it’s a city run golf course. Very unhappy with my experience today and hope that the management can correct these problems.

Beautiful course. Open fairways hole 8 and 9 were a little tough for me but I was probably just hot. And I didn't play 18 so that's all I really saw of the course. Not to difficult though.
