In summary

Forest Dale Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, scenic views, and friendly staff, offering a charming mix of challenging and approachable holes suitable for various skill levels. The historic course provides a pleasant atmosphere with its old-world charm and affordable pricing, making it a favorite for many local golfers. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and congestion on the course, which can detract from the overall experience for those seeking a faster round.

This is such a great 9 hole course! Nice putting green, big chipping area, no driving range. Utah's oldest course. Pace of play is typically good. Hole 5 has a very challenging tilted green after passing 2 streams to get there. 7 is a par 5 with a lake to your right and a tricky stream at most golfers range from the tee box. Do you try to clear it or play short (for most golfers)? Hole 8 is a teeny-tiny par 3 surrounded by water, can be challenging to hit the green. Beautiful views of the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains. Old growth trees and a pond are home to squirrels, geese and ducks. Well ma…

Love this course! The people are all great! Jon and Gena in the pro shop keep things running smooth and are always so nice. We've been playing Men's League here for the last 3 years and getting out in the morning on Tuesdays is awesome. We also like the course setup of 3 par 3's, 3 par 4's and 3 par 5's - allows for some different clubs during the round. We also like playing 9 so it's nice to not feel like we are missing out on half the course!

One of my favorites in the valley. Good mix of easy and a little more challenging holes, a few pretty tricky greens. Overall just a fun course, especially walking. Online booking makes everything easy.

Probably the worst course I've played in Utah. Super bumpy greens and they are all extremely slanted. Good price, though, so I guess you get what you pay for. Don't think I'll be back though

Forest Dale's the oldest in Utah but feels fresh—tree-lined holes with shade on hot days. Fairways generous, greens hold decent. Historic vibe without stuffiness. Pro shop friendly, rentals solid. Cafe's got coffee pre-round. Affordable $35 fees. Pace good, locals chatty. Enjoyed the throwback feel; suits casual games.

High quality municipal golf course. Standard expectations tee to green. Once you get to the greens all that changes. Undulating, firm small greens, well maintained sand traps. Better have a solid short game to score well here. Fairways are wide open which means little penalty for missed fairways. Extremely inexpensive. It's an excellent value. I thoroughly enjoyed the course.

Coursse itself is fun and staff are good. But many golfers who do not understand good golf etiquette makes for a very long and frustrating 9 holes of golf. If you are lucky with no one in front can do course in easily 90 minutes. Today was very extended waits to tee-off at every hole with a very slow foursome in front hitting multiple balls at times. If you are a serious golfer this might not be the course for you. They said they had ranger on the course today but I did not see him.

2nd time golfing here, remembered why I didn't want to play there again. Course is very congested and small, they got people in groups walking and in carts together so the tempo and play of golf is just awful. Plenty of times people hit into us due to the course being too small between greens and tee boxes.. one tee box is literally lined up into a large tree 20 ft in front of the tee box, makes no sense. Fun for casuals but not if you're looking to get better or play a little serious. And the greens are basically a putt putt course simulator

Forest Dale is a classic! It's not a long course and it's not a quick round but it is beautiful and the course was in great shape! The clubhouse staff (especially Steve) were extremely helpful in working out a scheduling issue (my fault) and getting our group out.

Great little 9 hole course. Will test every aspect of your game. Very getable, but can punish you if you miss in the wrong spots.

Terrible customer service. Unkind and unreasonable to my kids and disrespectful to me and my friends. My 16 yr old son moved a golf cart 5 feet forward and one of the employees disgustedly told him to not drive the cart. Unbelievable.
