In summary

Royal Oaks Golf Course is appreciated by some for its friendly staff, appealing layout, and affordable pricing. However, many visitors have expressed significant dissatisfaction with the course's maintenance, particularly the greens and bunkers, which are often described as poorly kept and challenging to play on. Issues with booking and communication have also been noted, impacting the overall experience for some guests.

As you can see from other recent reviews this course is horrible and definitely not worth a penny. I have been to this course a handful of times and after today I will never be back. I found out that I have been getting charged $10 extra each time I have gone. The greens are horrible and “bunkers” are even worse.(See pictures) I would recommend everyone to UCM National Golf Course. A few extra bucks, but a beautiful course with people that actually know what they are talking about. Most importantly they are honest.

Was looking forward to playing as the course sits next to a state park. The layout is actually very appealing however, the condition in late Spring was terrible. With ample moisture, the fairways were sparse but a course should always be rated by the fairness and condition of the greens first. When my daughter and I played, I’m not sure when the last time was a mower touched the greens or when the cups were changed. If all else fails but a course has very good greens, a lot of other things can be forgiven. So disappointed because this course has a ton of potential to be a hidden gem. Maybe it’…

What is going on with the greens and tee boxes? Greens are patchy and covered with weeds. Really takes the joy out of the game when you have to multi putt almost every hole just because of how badly it’s been maintained. I grew up playing this course and it has been off and on with quality, but the last round made the course come on top for worst maintained I’ve seen of the 10 courses I’ve played throughout the country.

Player here like 30 times last year, good pricing for what you got. This year it costs $5 less than UCM in burg which is a much nicer course. Cant play 9 holes, closed on mondays, greens don't play like any decent course, No marshall so occasionally you deal with ridiculous groups and slow play. Play 18 at either of the two courses in warrensburg and then play here and tell me the pricing makes sense for what you're getting.

Felt like I was playing on a god damn pga tour course. Came in with 15 balls left with none. Just leaving this review so people who are trying to get into golf don’t waste their money here because it will tear your soul out of you as you watch every ball in your cart go into the trees. Staff was super nice though!

I just played this course today, it was my second time to try the course. The first time was several weeks ago so i didn't have alot of expectations since it was early in the season. But this time I was expecting better conditions, i have to say i will never return to this course the conditions were absolutely terrible i cant remember the last time I have played in such terrible conditions, the fairways were awful, the tee boxes were terrible, and the rough hasn't been mowed in a long time. I would think for the price i paid they could afford some gas for the mowers.

Don't bother. You can call on a Saturday morning and speak to a kid named Kellen who sets you up a tee time, for THREE DAYS LATER only to drive 20+ minutes to the course for that tee time, and have a couple of other high school kids tell you "oh, sorry, there's a tournament today, you can't play." How do you work at a golf course and not know there is a tournament coming up? Avoid this place. What's bad is by the time you find out they have someone working the pro shop that doesn't deserve the employment, it's too late to get a decent tee time anywhere else close, and you'd lose the time get…

Top of the line golf course! I was stationed at Whiteman when the new addition to the course took place. It has been well maintained for many years!! Kudo’s to the leadership in FSS!

Friendly service, quiet place to have lunch. We use this location for our work lunches. Free wifi so we bring our laptop to help us get projects organized. Good food!

Set up a tee time on Thursday for Saturday morning. When I got there they told me, “I don’t know who took that down but we have a tournament, we won’t have anything til 2:30.” There was almost no one on the first couple holes from what I could see, they could’ve squeezed us anyway since they gave us a tee time.

Last year I would not have played there again. But my grandson and I played today what a vast improvement ,the greens were almost perfect.
