San Jose Country Club

I joined the club in November 2025 and absolutely love it. It’s a classic layout with a great mix of short and long par-4s. Has some elevation changes but very walkable - especially the last 14 holes. Greens are in great shape and fast! Staff has been nothing but friendly and accessible. The members I’ve played with so far are down to earth, welcoming and fun. I looked for a while around the area for a club to join and feel the membership cost-to-value is better here than any club in the south Bay Area if you like golf and a relaxed atmosphere. It went well with the reputation of being the oldest golf club in Bay area which is over 100 years old. The scenery was really beautiful and wonderful. I visited at the invitation of a friend today, and the desire to challenge Hinburn more springs up. You have to be careful because the gap between the halls is a little close, but the game in nature, which is very quiet, was very in-situ. If you get a chance someday, I strongly recommend you to visit.

This is probably the best golf course you will ever play. This greens are very true and difficult. The grass is immaculate and so many different amenities. The cart service is what really got me here. Frankly I have a tough time not having a great time here.

As a new member, my experience has been very positive. Members are super friendly and welcoming. All the staff, from the pro shop to the restaurant, greet you with a smile. The teaching instructor is the best. The course is challenging and fun. Membership is the best deal in town.

Beautiful course with one of the nicest golf pro's around..

We had our wedding reception here. The staff was great and very accommodating. Even when we had more people than expected a day before. They totally understood and helped out. The pictures where amazing with the backdrop of the silicon valley sky line.

A place full of great memories to share with family and friends. Whether it’s for the Easter brunch ,4th of July Swim and BBQ, Bingo night with a theme , New Years Eve celebration or the Christmas party with Santa.They have it all with a breath taking view especially as the sun sets , I had my wedding reception there and it was so beautiful every step of the way including a delectable array of food.And to top it off a beautiful golf course for those avid golfers.This is the place to really enjoy life there is something for everyone!

Beautiful location. Membership is actually affordable after the initial down. Wedding packages are more expensive than they advertised online. For a wedding of 100, the middle of the road options for food and drink with the location was over $18,500. If I'm going to pay that much, Wedgewood includes more. But this place's chef is willing to customize your food. It's a give and take.

I love coming here to play golf with my friends.

I'm not a member but have had the opportunity to play here twice this year. The course was in great shape both times. The staff are really friendly and helpful and don't appear to treat non-members like outsiders as some clubs do. Great experience!
